Quiet one-bedroom apartment
Quiet one-bedroom apartment with all the facilities and comforts of home. We have always been impeccable with our cleaning but in this time of crisis we are taking particular care to use hospital grade cleaning products. The apartment is ideal for working from home. Safe and secure, there is ample NBN Wifi and Netflix. Washing machine and dryer. Parking available. Located close to supermarkets and good take away outlets that provide delivery services. Comfortable secure flat in interesting converted Historic Brickworks in Brunswick. Close to Sydney Road, lots of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants, plenty of public transport in every direction and on the correct side of the city for the airport. The apartment is cosy, modern and very comfortable for two. It has great heating for Melbourne winters and airconditioning available for summer. The bedroom has a double bed and we have comfortable bedding for the couch if required. We can also make available a double airbed if required. The apartment is one of four behind a security gate which gives you a great feeling of security. In fine weather you can leave the door open and enjoy the fresh air from the potted garden through the screen door. Brunswick is very multicultural and generally safe and sits on the northern edge of the city neighbouring Carlton, Parkville, Fitzroy and Coburg. It is an extremely diverse area only 5 kms from the CBD. Brunswick has more than it's fair share of Melbourne's best eateries and the location is extremely well served by public transport. Buses stop at the front door which you can jump on if you want to get to Sydney Road or connect you to wherever you are headed, Carlton, the CBD and St Kilda Beach included. Two train stations are a 10 minute walk with a 15 minute ride to the CBD. It is a 2 minute walk to trams taking you to Melbourne Zoo and Melbourne University and the CBD(URL HIDDEN) The complex is large, interesting and still growing. It abuts a terrific park with a walking/jogging track, which is across the road from a large series of sports fields; so plenty of green space for your morning jog or evening stroll. Further along Dawson Street near the corner of Sydney Road you will find the Brunswick Library which is fully digitised and equipped to cater for the many diverse communities in Brunswick. On the other side of the street is the Brunswick Baths which consists of a 50mtr outdoor pool, 25mtr indoor heated pool, children's pool, aqua play and YMCA gym. All for the use of the public! Carlton is just a bus and tram ride away. There you will find a lot to take your fancy! Nova Art House Cinema, Readings iconic bookstore, the best Italian restuarants outside Italy and shopping to drool over. Plus Melbourne Uni, Melbourne General Cemetery and some pretty little early Victorian housing. Rathdowne Street Village in North Carlton is a quiet pretty little area which runs parallel to Lygon St which has some nice coffee shops and specialty shops and is a relaxing place to unwind. All these areas Sydney Road, Lygon Street and Rathdowne Street are different from each other, I hope you might enjoy them. Guests have full access to everything in the flat. We do not live there and nothing is off limits. We have email communication from first inquiry. Either myself or a member of our family have telephone contact upon quests arrival in Melbourne and we arrange to meet personally at the apartment with the keys. We are very happy to hear at any time from our guests. Our neighbourhood is very eclectic and diverse and even though it is gentrifying it still retains it's working class, migrant and student base. Lots of old factories have been converted to residences as is usual in large cities now. It is easy to get to any area of Melbourne by public transport or as is more usual, by car. Lots of bike tracks if you know where to look and public bike hire is available . Check your Melbourne website. Street parking available. Internet is available and provides unlimited access though NBN. The password can be found on a Telstra fridge magnet. Guests travelling with a car may note that there is limited street parking on Pottery Court, although this is free unlimited as is the parking in the surrounding streets. However the carpark facing Pottery Court is for the residents of the Kiln Apartments and if parking there you should take care NOT to park in the designated marked areas.
