Chalet Soca - stunning views & home
Our beautiful unique chalet with exposed beams, roof terrace, huge living area, free wifi and en-suit's can be found at the heart of the Slovenian Alps on the River Soca. We cater for smaller groups too, so contact us, as we charge per person. Chalet Soca sleeps up to 10 people and has a fantastic open plan area for families, friends, groups and clubs to really relax and enjoy time in the mountains. We also cater for smaller groups and have a special per person rate with a minimum group size of 4. You still have exclusive use of the chalet, you just wont pay for the beds you don't use......good 'hey! You have access all areas! We say, go for it! You also have free Wi-Fi, parking, lockable garage/store, the garden, washing machine, indoor and outdoor drying (yes expect to spend lots of time in and out of the river!) plus allllll the views, every windows frames a treat. Chalet Soca is located on a hill, and the living space is up at the top of the house to make the most of all those views. To access these areas and because of its geographical location there are steps you will need to use to get around the house. There is one flight of steps up to the main entrance, once in the house, there is another set of steps up to the living area. Well worth it for the views! As much or as little as you want. If you would rather arrive and just get on with it, no problem. If you would like ideas of what to do and where then we're here to help. We usually have a host that's available, however this is seasonal, so if that is an important element to your trip check with us first, otherwise, I am always here, if not in person then on email or the phone always. We love our village. Its in a rural setting, our neighbours are brilliant. The local shop has the best bread, the restaurant across the road has great (cheap!) food. We are only 4km as the bird flies to Italy, so we are a small village but we have so many influences. The local history, specifically from World Wars I and II is absolutely fascinating, there are a few local museums that pay tribute to these times that are well worth a visit....just ask us. We are in a remote corner of the Alps, its quiet, that's great, but it does mean limited public transport. The closest airports are Trieste, Italy and Klagenfurt, Austria both of which are 1 hour 20 mins away or all Venice airports or Ljubljana are all 2 hours away. There are local buses with services into Bovec and Tolmin which you can then transfer on to larger towns and cities, but a full schedule can be obtained from the Bovec tourist board on (Email hidden by Airbnb) We also have a further 2 chalets, so if you are looking for a larger place, we can accommodation up to 28 people.
