The Tuscan style villa was originally conceived as a private home by Ea Lind and Erik Logstrup in 2002. Since it’s conception Bougainvillea Retreat has evolved to become a luxury boutique hotel that invites guests from around the world to enjoy the peaceful ambience and serenity of this beautiful property. Bougainvillea Retreat is also home to 2 dogs and a cat. They are part of the family and tend to keep to themselves unless you initiate contact. Bougainvillea Retreat is fully staffed with English speaking Sri Lankan nationals, an experienced cooking team and a resident manager Bougainvillea is located approx. 45 min outside of Kandy on the award-winning Victoria Golf and Country Resort. During their stay, guests can arrange an array of activities and excursions such as Golf, Cycling, Trekking, Canoeing, Spa and Yoga. Bougainvillea can be reached by taking the road to the Victoria Golf and Country Resort via the town of Digana. Once passed the security gates make your way to the Club House. From the Clubhouse parking lot take the road up and then take the dirt road immediately on your right passing the Golf Club swimming pool on your right-hand side. We are located at the end of this dirt road.
