Peaceful glamping on the edge of Dartmoor

A 5m bell tent situated in a beautiful secluded meadow surrounded by trees, a babbling brook and abundant flora and fauna. The bell tent is furnished with twin beds (which can be pushed together as a double), rugs, chairs and a small table. There is a simple field kitchen with gas stove and sink, pots, pans and crockery provided. There is a compost toilet and a woodland hot water shower, all of which are shared with just one other tent. The bell tent is in a beautiful meadow on our smallholding/market garden. We grow vegetables which are for sale on a stall at the field gate and also to local restaurants and shops. We also sell pork from our own pigs and eggs from our hens. The field is in a sheltered valley just on the edge of Ashburton and is surrounded by woodland and farmland. Ashburton is only a 15 minute walk away down quiet lanes or across fields and has a great variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. The bell tent is perfect for a couple and larger families can rent our other retro style tent as well and have the whole area to yourselves. Guests are welcome to explore our gardens and orchard and visit our pigs and hens. Ashburton is an easy 15 minute walk from the property. Ashburton is a lovely town on the edge of Dartmoor offering a wide range of cafes, great food shops and many antique shops. It has a thriving Arts Centre, an outdoor pool and many beautiful walks nearby. It is a 5 minute drive to Dartmoor and a half hour drive to many beautiful beaches on the South Devon coast. We do not provide bedding or towels, so please bring your own.
