The Old Pottery in the Cornish Countryside

Welcome to a high standard hideaway in the tranquil heart of Maen Valley. Roam the 5 acre farmstead or simply relax in the gardens. Ideally located for Maenporth and Swanpool beaches, coastal path and vibrant Falmouth by car, cycle or foot as well as the Uni campus. The local village boasts a pub, restaurant (both dog friendly), and shop. The golf course, water sports facilities, Treba, Penjerrick and Glen Durgan gardens are all nearby. The Helford has a year round dog friendly beach and pub. The Old Pottery has been furnished to a modern high standard with a well equipped kitchen and also a log burner for those cosy nights in after your days explorations. A barbecue and seating area are just outside your door for those sunny evenings. We also have a large king size bedroom with private bathroom available to book separately on Airbnb. Therefore, if you were travelling as a group of 4 then both can be booked to accommodate friends and family. Please feel free to contact us to discuss accommodating your needs. Guest have access to the gardens, seating areas and BBQ facilities. There are numerous countryside walks, perfect for keen walkers and exercising dogs. I like to give my guests their own space whilst staying. However, I'm always on hand if needs be for advice and recommendations on places to visit. If your looking for peace and tranquillity then The Old Pottery is ideally located. It's offers the joys of the countryside, but only 2.5 miles away from Falmouth town and the local beaches. The Old Pottery is located down a rural country track, so there is little noise disturbance other than from the animals, during your stay. For distance exploring, best method of transport would be a car in Cornwall. We also have good local taxi firms that we will be able to recommend. There is a local bus service running into Falmouth and out to Constantine. It is ideal cycling and walking country with many footpaths crisscrossing the area. There is a fabulous Fal ferry service from Falmouth to explore the river and the area around Flushing too. IMPORTANT We are happy to accommodate dogs in The Old Pottery. One large breed or a maximum of 2 small to medium onsite during your stay. Importantly, any dogs onsite must not be left unattended and must be kept on a lead around the animals. We also ask that muddy pooches and paws are cleaned and dried off before you take them inside. Water is available. Please note bookings with dogs must be made by prior arrangement via the host.
