The apartments have a cozy rustic interior with hardwood furniture and brick walls. It is spacious and comfortable, perfect for a vacation with family and friends. The Nook is part of an apartment building complex built in 1994. It is comprised of 8 apartments all family owned. Currently 3 units are listed on Airbnb, but there is an additional 1 which we rent often in conjunction with The Nook - Deluxe unit. At times, apartments are booked simultaneously by different guests or groups. We limit the number of guests per unit to 8-10 people in order to allow enough space and privacy for each of our guests. We do not allow Karaoke. And as much as possible, we try to be considerate with each others space. Guests of the Nook can relax and enjoy by the gazebo area, by the garden, or right by the shore. We allow guests to bring their own beach mats, beach balls, inflatables, frisbees, or any other items they would like for games and activities as long as we are informed beforehand. The beach is just a few steps from the apartment with very fine sand and a recovering reef nearby where you can go snorkeling or fish feeding (we suggest you bring your snorkels and fins - you wouldn't want to miss out on this). There are outdoor showers located around the perimeter of the property that you can use to rinse off after a swim or just to cool down. We strategically placed the WiFi zone by the garden area so our guests can stay connected while enjoying the outdoors. However, the WiFi signal in the rooms are limited so best to go out if you would like to have good access. Before reserving the space, we would like to get to know you a little better, so a phone call, a text message, email, or messaging via airbnb would be much appreciated. No strangers here, all friends. :) The Morong beach is special since it is the nesting area of sea turtles. Locally called Pawikan, the sea turtles come yearly from November to February to lay their eggs on the beach. A Pawikan Conservation Center is situated on the beach in order to protect the sea turtles. During the nesting period, the conservation center gathers the eggs from the beach and places them in an incubation area and as they hatch guests can release hatch-lings into the wild at a nominal fee. During months wherein they do not lay their eggs, there are resident sea turtles guests can also visit. Pawikan Conservation Center is only 15mins away from the Nook and it is highly recommended for guests to visit. Morong is a simple provincial town. There is a local market 15mins away from the Nook which sells fresh seafood and meat. One can do most of their grocery shopping in town but choices are somewhat limited. Kindly note that there is no ATM in the town and the nearest one would be in Subic which is about 45mins away. So, be sure to bring a little extra just in case you would like to do some grocery shopping or activities (like kayaking, paddle boarding, banana boating etc.) around the area. For directions and transportation concerns, please contact us directly. Parking is available and included in the fee. Since it is an apartment complex, there are occasions when there are other guests staying in the other units. But, not to worry, the entire place is spacious enough and the units are well-partitioned so you will still have your own private space to relax and have a comfortable stay.
