Game Cottage is a lovely country retreat set in the expansive, well kept grounds of stately home Davenport House. The beautifully furnished two bedroom cottage, newly decorated in 2018, has a kitchen, dining and living area, two bedrooms sleeping 5 (in a king, a double and a single) and family bathroom. With a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of home comforts and garden furniture, BBQ and fire pit you're all set for a super getaway in the Shropshire countryside. This is a fantastic opportunity to stay on the Davenport House estate. Set amid picturesque countryside, this is a breathtaking Grade I listed Georgian house. Combining original features and chic interior design, alongside the warmth of a family residence, Davenport House is an enchanting setting which you get to enjoy from your very own spot in a historic mansion. A travel is cot available, and there is TV and free WIFI. Beyond your cottage you can have full access to the gardens and grounds of the house and we can arrange a viewing of the house itself if that's of interest. We are on hand if you need anything at all. We want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the experience of staying around a very grand 'home from home'. We're located near to the lovely village of Worfield which has a noteworthy historic church. There are beautiful walks throughout the grounds and beyond, you can walk to the local pub or venture a little further into Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge or Shrewsbury, where you'll find culture and more history, great places to eat and all kinds of entertainment. There are easy transport links from Wolverhampton, Telford and Birmingham. The best way to get around is by car, but a taxi to local towns or train stations can be arranged. Birmingham airport is 45 miles away. You'll find Heaven toiletries and a hair dryer in the cottage. We can arrange a for a luxury continental breakfast for you at £12 per person or evening catering from £35 per person, plus other services such as a yoga teacher, massage therapist.
