Situated on a hill between meadows, fields and forests. Guests stay in one of the three very spacious bedrooms and can use the seperate kitchen for self catering. Perfect for a holiday with a group of friends! Private entrance, spacious romantic bathroom with bathtub and grand shower, three very spacious bedrooms with extra beds, closet space, fire place, minibar and coffee/teamaker. Downstairs: one lounge with seating and fireplace; a second lounge with dining table and well-stocked bookcase. In the hallway is a spacious kitchen which gives access to the spacious terrace and large garden with swimming pool and orchard. Owner resides in secluded rooms to cover maintenance, and provides morning breakfast in the lounge or terrace. Use of terrace, garden and swimming pool is exclusively for guests. The house is located on the hill of a tiny French village (80 inhabitants) that is surrounded by meadows, fields and forests. Enjoy the atmosphere of peace and tranquility, the panoramic views from the hiking trails around the house, the clear sky, flowers, wood fire and barbecue. Possible excursions: the high mountains of the Vosges, the city of Dijon (1.5 hours) with beautiful museums and of course the famous mustard, city of Besançon (1.5 hours) with its impressive citadel, fortress city of Gray (45 min) and Langres (50 min), wellness-centers of Bourbonne-les-Bains, Luxeuil-les-Bains, Plombières-les-Bains and Vittel. Visit the renaissance village Chatillon-sur-Saône on five minutes drive and the foundations of an antique Roman bath with impressive mosaic in Jonvelle, just a walk away. A supermarket, post office and pharmacy are at 4km, the town of Jussey (market, restaurant) takes 10 minutes. Wander or cycle around the village, through meadows, forests and fields, along the banks of the Saône or the hills with panoramic views. In winter time our house forms an ideal and quiet break on the way to the ski areas in the French Alps (4-5 hours) or Switzerland (Geneva 3 hours, Basel 2 hours). We are located at a 40 minutes drive from the highway Route du Soleil, between Nancy and Dijon - a car is recommended. Train travelers can descend on Culmont-Chalindrey railway station, where we can pick you up. (direct line from station Paris-Est, duration 3 hours). Nearest airport (2 hours drive) is Euro-airport Basel-Mulhouse that hosts Easyjet.
