A rural retreat with a 10 minute scenic drive to Cambridge for excellent cafes, restaurants and shops. Centrally located for events/attractions in the Waikato. Enjoy relaxing in the home from home accommodation after your day's activities with a glass or wine on the deck while soaking in the sun and then gazing at the stars. The accommodation is best suited to couples, business trips and those travelling with pets. Self check-in/check-out. Rural, self-contained, fully equipped home from home space with a large private enclosed north-facing furnished deck looking onto views of fields and rock formations. Plenty of parking space for trailers and camper vans. Basic breakfast items provided on arrival, blankets, beach towels and BBQ. Pet-friendly accommodation with dog beds and bowls if required and an adjoining paddock for exercising your pets under supervision. Self-check-in/check-out. The accommodation has one king-size bed but, if necessary, when booking you can request 2 single beds however this option is not available for last-minute bookings of at least 5 days before your arrival date. Large parking area right next to the chalet with room for trailers. Not suitable for campervans due to the avenue of low trees at the entrance of the property. This is a beautiful, quiet and safe neighbourhood watch area surrounded by farmland and with views of rock formations and great star gazing on a clear night. Our location is 8 km from Cambridge so own transport is essential. Cambridge has good shops, restaurants, cafes, walks, cycling trails, visitor centre, fuel stations, cinema, velodrome and high street market on 2nd Sunday of each month and a Saturday morning farmers market. Closest fuel station is 5 mins away: Mobil on the SH1 at Karapiro. 25 minutes drive to Hobbiton, 40 mins to Matamata. 30 minutes Hamilton. Central to other tourists destinations such as Waitomo Caves, Rotorua, Mount Maunganui and Raglan for the beaches, all being about one hour away. No fires permitted. Smoking outside only. Spark coverage is not as good as Vodafone. Not suitable for children.
