Well equipt kitchen for you to prepare vegetarian meals, or why not take advantage of the lovely local eats in Katikati and surrounding area. Tea and coffee is provided. The water supply to the house is wonderful pure filtered rain water. One double bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen. Ranchslider onto deck and outside area. Table and chairs for relaxing and enjoying the views. Heater in bedroom during winter months. Spacious grounds including small orchard. The road ends 500m away at the entrance to the Upland Road Track which is part of the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park. If you like spending time in the bush go to - (Website hidden by Airbnb) Beaches are a must to visit, Mt Maunganui surf beach to the south for fun in the waves or Pilot Bay for a calm, gently sloping beach. Waihi Beach to the North is also a surf beach or at the other end is Bowen Town with a lovely picnic spot and small calm bay. Both surf beaches are patrolled by Surf Lifesavers during summer. Swim between the two red/yellow flags for the safest place to swim. There are two sets of Hotsprings nearby, (Website hidden by Airbnb) which is closest (Email hidden by Airbnb) approximately 20 mins drive. Shopping, there are two malls in Tauranga, Bayfair and The Crossing. Mt Maunganui is packed with cafes and boutique shops and is great for a brunch stroll. Waihi Beach absolutely hums with activity in the summer and although on a smaller scale also has cafes and boutiques to browse. Katikati services the rural community and you’ll find a Countdown Supermarket, chemist, post office and other general suppliers on the main road. There are also art galleries, a museum, a mural trail and a plethora of activities to attend. Check out the local paper or (Website hidden by Airbnb) for what’s on. I recommend private transport as the nearest bus stop is approximately 15kms away.
