"Katerina house" is only 2,5 km from Sitia and is surrounded by herbs, vegetable gardens, sunshade trees and also you can see some animals like cats, turkeys, chickens,rabbits etc. It is familiar and perfect for relaxing. It has got one bedroom with closet, one bathroom and a living room with convenient sofas which can be turned into a bed. The kitchen is completely equipped and the owners can offer greek coffee, herbs, oil, raki and fruit from their garden. Τhe reason why our place is unique is that you can enjoy the natural scenery and beaches without massive tourism. We support a different type of tourism away from the tourist industry that many times destroy and change the environment and the nature. Α way that the traveler with respect will see, explore and enjoy every region while learning local culture, history and civilization, knowing local people, etc. We can recommend amazing beaches, gorges, historical and archaeological places which people should visit. "Katerina house" is 500m from Piskokefalo which is one of the largest villages in the region. The ruins of a Minoan villa were found in the area together with many artifacts such as idols, human and animal figurines, small clay houses etc. It appears that Piskokefalo used to be the feudal property of the Kornaros family, one of whose descendants was Vitsentzos Kornaros- author of the famous poem "Erotokritos"- who is considered one of the greatest poets in the Greece. The house, the watermill and the church of the Kornaros family can still be seen in the village. Anyone can enjoy the coloful and traditional houses, the square of the village with the famous "rakadika" or have a leisurely stroll or hike . Well, we are waiting for you.
