A beautiful luxury detached property nestled in a sheltered valley - the ideal rural getaway featuring a stunning master bedroom with a king-sized bed a roll-top bath & many considerate touches from providing holiday rentals since 1996. The 2nd bedroom has a single bed & has been set up as a home office ideal for remote working with fibre wifi (or yoga room!) . Forge Cottage was renovated to top spec in 2020 & located 10 mins from Wells close to Glastonbury, Bruton & 40mins to Bath & Bristol. Each room has been carefully designed for comfort and functionality. Alongside the very well-appointed kitchen, with quality appliances inc, Gas Hob, Electric Oven, plus a Rayburn (only on in winter months) a full-size dishwasher, and a washing machine, there is a separate dining room & a cozy sitting room with a fireplace (a faux elec one due to overheating with a log burner!). The inspirational writer's room / home office (with spare single bed made up plus a camp bed for visitors) is filled with light both south east and west facing and includes a couple of yoga mats. The cottage sits directly on a Glastonbury lay line which guarantees that all the stress will be left at the door... The private garden is south facing and perfect for dogs as it is fully enclosed with direct access to one of many wonderful footpaths. (We have even installed an outside sink for muddy pooches) Outside, is a large sun terrace ideal for alfresco dining with a BBQ, a fire pit, fairy lights, a dedicated boot room, & charming cottage garden planting. Please note that whilst we welcome toddlers (the study is an ideal nursery), we do not provide any paraphernalia in this regard inc gates at the top of the steep stairs. This luxury rural retreat provides a relaxing location yet is only 10 mins from the from Wells, with a twice-weekly farmers market, restaurants, and a Waitrose. There is dedicated parking for two cars outside the cottage and an elec point for car charging (not rapid type) and a fee levied for this per charge. We welcome our guests & orientate you to the property & surrounding area on the day of arrival. Once you have been checked in we leave you to your stay, but are always available should you have any questions. We provide a welcome pack consisting of the best local produce from cheeses to ciders & condiments. Though we provide a key-safe entry for your convenience, we are next door and having lived in this area since 2008 and operating holiday rentals since 1996! we know how important 'local' insights and thoughtful touches are for our guests and here to help. For Pet owners, there are many stunning walks straight out of the door please note we ask you to clear up after your pooches in the garden. From the king-size bed, stunning bathroom with a roll-top bath, separate shower room, huge DVD collection & novels, plus the excellent local events calendar & insights provided this is an ideal retreat to get away from it all. Full HD Freeview is installed along with unlimited broadband. A rural location ideal for hiking, dog walks, pub visits, cultural excursions, remote working, and unwinding.
