The Stableblock at Gothelney Farm

In the Somerset countryside, the Stableblock is part of Gothelney Farm - a family run farm, focusing on producing food for people that is mindful of both their health & the health of our ecosystem & climate. The fields around the Stableblock are home to our pasture-fed rare breed pigs & also grow cereals used by local bakers, including at the Field Bakery - situated just next to the Stableblock! We hope that being at the heart of the Farm adds to your experience whilst staying with us. The Stableblock is a lovingly restored space which we hope offers you a little slice of our special countryside with its characterful yet comfortable environment for you to enjoy exclusively during your stay. The Stableblock is set over 2 floors and can accommodate up to 4 people. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms - a master bedroom with a double bed and a mezzanine bedroom with two single beds. There are also two bathrooms with showers. Downstairs, you will find a third bathroom which is a wet room with shower, a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room and a very spacious living room with log burner and home cinema. Outdoor space – in close proximity to the Stabeblock there is a grass parkland complete with table and chairs ready for al-fresco dining! You are also very welcome to enjoy longer walks around the farm. Guests have exclusive access to The Stableblock for the entirety of their stay. There is on-site parking. We would ask guests to check in anytime from 3pm & checkout by 10am. We look forward to welcoming you warmly, we are on hand to offer as much or as little advice as you like. Although we live on site, we intend for our guests to have as private and independent stay as they desire. Despite our rural location, we are surprisingly well connected. 10 minutes from the M5 and Bridgwater, 25 minutes from Taunton, 50 minutes from Bristol Airport, around 2hrs 45 minutes from London. Should you wish to know more about what may be going on at Gothelney Farm or the Field Bakery during your stay then please do contact us. We hope that being on the farm adds to your experience but please be aware that this is a busy, working farm, bakery and family home so there is farming machinery and animals near and around the Stableblock. As mentioned, one of the bedrooms is more of a mezzanine set up rather than private bedroom. There is a softly furnished screen to provide extra privacy. This hasn't been a problem for our guests so far, but it might not suit everyone.
