The apartment is in a converted Telephone Exchange, constructed in the Edwardian era, designed by the renowned architect Leonard Stokes and is Grade II Listed. Shortly after completing the building Stokes was elected president of the RIBA and awarded the Gold Medal for his contribution to British architecture. The hosts, Amanda and James, will be living at the property throughout you stay. We are a 15min walk from historic Blackheath which has lots of lovely cafes and the open space of the heath, which leads into Greenwich Park. If you don't want to walk then a 10min bus ride will take you to the famous Cutty Sark in Greenwich, along with the Naval College and Royal Observatory. Local amenities include a range of pubs and eateries. The shopping centre is 5min walk and has M&S, Sainsbury's and other high street brands. There are several parks nearby and Blackheath and Greenwich are a 10min bus ride away. Great location, equidistant between Lewisham (Zone 2) and Hither Green (Zone 3). Only a 10min walk to the overground and DLR train stations. Fast services to London Bridge (12mins), Waterloo (15mins), Cannon Street (22mins), Canary Wharf (17mins), Charing Cross (21mins) and Victoria (23mins). You are required to keep your bedroom and bathroom in a clean state during your stay, including a weekly clean if you are staying for longer than one week.
