Have a great time and spend your weekends and holidays cycling close to Castle of Gropparello in search of climbs and taverns. Our guest house "Ai Groppi" is about 30 km from Piacenza, 90 km from Milan, on the hills of Piacenza in an excellent location for cycling excursions during weekends or or holidays. Bed & Bike Ai Groppi is an ideal destination for leisure and sports due to its proximity to several Italian castles (Gropparello, Agazzano, Castell'Arquato, Bardi) and the thermal baths of Salsomaggiore and Tabiano . The guest house "Ai Groppi" is structured to accommodate as best we can the cyclists traveling in groups or with family nd a washing machine. The stone house has recently been renovated and is equipped with heating and free wifi. There is a shelter indoors for bikes and a private car park on the road. The guest house "Ai Groppi" is in a hamlet 3.6km far from Gropparello, but the scarcity of public transportations makes necessary (or desirable) to use own transport (car or bike) for arriving or going around. If needed and if arranged in advance, I can give a ride in my car. Bedrooms and bathroom are on the second floor which connected to the living room and kitchen by a ladder. There is a small library dedicated to the cycling world provided with maps. To ride on one of the numerous trails that depart from our guest house type "Bed & BikeAiGroppi" in the site search box Openrunner. I speak Italian and English. My family and I are available for advice based on our over a decade-long holiday experience of the Piacenza hills. -on cycling routes (road bike and mountain bike) -on restaurants, taverns and cellars where to taste ( or better eat) the typical products of the Piacenza area (ham, salami, cheeses and wine) -on shops and farms where to buy local products -on activities to do in your free time (cooking, walks, outlets)
