The Paca Pod - Glamping with Alpacas - Indoor Pool

Come and enjoy a relaxing break in the company of alpacas in rural Aberdeenshire. The Paca Pod is a self contained space, ideal for a couple or small family. With a double bed, sofa bed, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and bedding, it has all the essentials you need for an escape to the countryside. A separate toilet and shower area is located just a few metres away across the patio area. There is also exclusive use of an indoor pool and conservatory area located beside the pod. The Paca Pod is a unique, hand built, glamping pod set within a large garden on an alpaca farm. Just over the fence is a herd of alpacas which you are welcome to visit and spend time with. The pod features a double bed and a sofa bed, a small kitchen area with kettle, toaster and microwave and a small TV. Outside there is a patio area with wicker seating and a picnic bench. At the other side of the patio is the Wendy Loo - a converted wendy house now fully fitted with toilet, sink and shower. There is also an indoor swimming pool and conservatory area with TV to the rear of the pod. The Paca Pod is the only pod on side so has exclusive use of the bathroom, dish washing facilities and pool. Guests have full exclusive use of the pod, loo/shower facilities, patio area and dish washing area. They also have use of the wider garden, but this will be shared with the host family at times. Guests have exclusive use of the pool when they are in it, but the host family may use the pool when it is not being used by guests (ie. we will not join you in the pool, but may use it when you aren't). If you plan on using the pool, please bring your own towels. **By booking you agree to use the pool facility responsibly. Children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when in and around the pool. The pool must not be used when under the influence of alcohol. A limited number of buoyancy aids are available however we strongly advise you to bring your own to ensure ideal fit. No diving is allowed (pool depth uniform 1.2 m). Care should be taken around the pool where it can be slippery. All pool signage should be followed.** As much as possible, we try to give our guests space to enjoy their stay and time with their family, however we are a working farm and will inevitably pass by the pod on a few occasions. We are happy to stop and chat or answer any questions you have, but are equally happy to leave you to enjoy the quiet as you wish. Rural location surrounded by rolling hills of agricultural land. On site, we have a small breeding herd of alpacas as well as a horse, dog and ducks. We are surrounded by lots of quiet roads, ideal for the cycling or walking enthusiast. The coast is approximately 3 miles away, where beautiful sandy beaches can be found - and the occasional dolphin might be spotted if you are lucky. The nearest town, Banff, has all necessary amenities as well as examples of Georgian architecture such as Duff House. There is no public transport to the property. The nearest town is Banff, approximately 3 miles away (a pleasant walk on quiet roads), where the 35 bus can be caught west along the coast to Elgin or East inland to Aberdeen (it stops in most towns and villages on route). We have an excitable young springer spaniel who loves people and will be keen to say hello. We always try to keep him out of the way of guests, but if you have a particular aversion to dogs, please let us know and we will ensure he keeps well away. The pod does not have Wifi access. Mobile data coverage is generally good. If you intend to use the swimming pool please bring your own towels (towels are provided for the pod only).
