Enjoy a renovated two story Alsacian house at the foot of grand cru vineyard Kastelberg on the "Routes des Vins". The house, which is on a cul de sac next to friendly neighbours and a walking path to the vines and town centre, offers three bedrooms, living room, modern open kitchen with all amenities and a dining area. Modern bathroom with shower downstairs and toilet upstairs with washer and dryer. The patio is private and perfect for outdoor dining and for enjoying a nice glass of Riesling. As a guest you will have access to alle rooms in the house - including most of our personal items. There are outdoor furniture in the basement; parasol, chairs, cushions for chairs and large day bed, barbecue and equipment. Andlau Village: Andlau is a beautiful village on the Routes des Vins with historical monuments and the newly completed museum Les Ateliers de la Seigneurie. Andlau has the areas best bakery Boulangerie Rietsch, nice restaurants e.g. Restaurant Au Boeuf Rouge and Le Relais de la Poste and excellent vignerons e.g. Marc Kreydenweiss, Jean Wach, Domaine Durrmann, Domaine Rémy Gresser and Marcel Schlosser. The village is surrounded by three grand cru vinyeards namely Kastelberg, Wiebelsberg, and Moenchberg and is famous for its varied terroir. On the road to the mountain village Le Howald extensive forrest offers great outdoor activities such as picnics, hiking, mountain biking, parc aventure Breitenbach etc. The following nearby towns: Mittelbergheim, Barr and Obernai are worth a visit and for great culinary experiences Obernai has two Michelin star restaurants; La Fourchette des Ducs and Le Bistro des Saveurs. Location: Andlau is placed between the two beautiful cities Colmar and Strasbourg and is easily reached on the A35 autoroute. Travelling with children: two attractions are a must namely Germany's biggest theme park "Europa Park" which is 50 km away and Chateau du Haut-Koenigsbourg which can be reached in 30 minutes. On hot summer days: On hot days it's refreshing to take a dip in the small river behind the house. Also, there are swimming lakes near Strasbourg and in nearby Benfeld. The Piscine Plein-Air in Obernai has outdoor swimming pool Andlau is very easy to reach. For those travelling by plane Basel and Strasbourg have international airports and on the TGV from Paris you can reach Strasbourg in less than two hours.
