The property is located in Abercanaid close to Bike Park Wales (less than 0.3 miles), Taff Trail. 20 mins drive the Brecon Beacons. A renovated terraced miners cottage, you'll love its cosy atmosphere with all the home comforts you could want. Our house is great for couples, business travellers, walkers, cyclists, families. Basic cupboard staples like salt/pepper, cooking oil, sauces and jams are available. Welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and cereal are included FOC. A three bedroomed terraced ex-miners cottage built in 1837. When you stay you have the entire house and garden to yourselves. We have a washing machine and a dishwasher. There is a private parking space at the rear of the property for one car. Bike washing facilities secure bike storage (2020). Our place is less than half a mile away from bike park Wales and a few hundred yards from the Taff Trail. We are approximately 20 minutes by car from the Brecon Beacons and 40 minutes by car from Cardiff. Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces between reservations. You have access to the entire house, garden and one private parking space. There is bike storage at the property in the form of a locked shed with interior secure metal double looped cable for you to use your own padlock and floor anchor points. We also do not mind if you want to take your cleaned dry bikes into the house if you do not like the bike storage provided. There is a private parking space at the rear of the property for ONE car - it is tight although we have a VW SWB transporter and it fits no problem. Just requires driver skill to get it in. The house has an alarm system. It also has a fully integrated hard wired smoke alarm installed. We are available by text, phone and email. We can be there in person if you wish but we find that most of our guests like to be left to their own devices. My place is 0.3 miles from Bike Park Wales. It is 40 minutes drive to Cardiff and it’s 20 minutes drive from the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Merthyr Tydfil is a short distance by car. Pentrebach railway station is a short 0.2 mile walk from our home where you can get to Cardiff in 1 hour. There are buses that go through the village to Merthyr regularly or you can cycle down the Taff Trial to local amenities. The house comfortably sleeps 4 adults with two double beds and two single beds. We do NOT have any additional put up beds such as sofa beds or the like.
