space: Recently fully renovated spacious 3 bedroom apartment on the second floor of a beautiful historic building. Located in the heart of the Old city center. In a quiet street, just around the corner of Placa del Vi and La Rambla. The ideal place to enjoy and discover this great city full of history and culture. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully renovated apartment with 3 bedrooms. An open kitchen with all modern conveniences and a wonderful spacious living room with sofa bed and large dining table. There is a spacious bathroom with a second toilet and a spacious and very comfortable shower. There is of course wide screen TV and WiFi with fast internet.There are two bedrooms with a double bed and a third bedroom with two single beds. The apartment has recently been completely renovated and high-quality materials and equipment have been used. Much attention has been paid to maintaining the authenticity of the apartment and building. And that is certainly visible! access: The apartment is in a beautifully renovated old building and has its entrance to Carrer dels Mercaders, one of the many beautiful quiet streets in the heart of the Barri Vell. The apartment is located on the second floor, has shutters and double glazing and is therefore wonderfully quiet. There is a wide entrance and spacious staircase. However, there is no lift in the old historic building. When you are in the apartment, this is for you and only for you. For example: bicycle rental, restaurants, places to visit, booking a taxi, printing documents etc. Check-In: A late check-in is no problem but we do have a policy (after 21.00).´´Please note that a late check-in carries the following extra charges:- From 21:00 to 23:00, 20€;- From 23:00 to 00:00, 40€;- Check-in after 00:00 is in principle not possible.´´Of course if your plane is delayed and you arrive after 00.00 we will be there for you. notes: The apartment is in the heart of the old town and is partially closed to traffic and you are not allowed to park here. Pay attention! With the car you can only enter the old town 3 times per quarter, so use it three times carefully. For example, once for your check-in and once for your check-out. Although you are not allowed to park, you can stop to unload your luggage quickly. Furthermore, it is important to know that there is no elevator. Stairwell, however, is spacious enough to bring bikes up. neighborhood: From Carrer dels Marcaders it is ideal to explore Girona since it is only a 5 min walk from Santa Marie’s Cathedral and the Jewish quarter. It is right in the middle of the historic centre, just behind La Rambla and 2 min from the Onyar Houses. The Old Centre is known to have a large variety of great restaurants and small boutiques. It is highly recommendable for those who want to be in a comfortable, unique place and explore this town just walking from your apartment. transit: Girona has it’s own airport just a 20 min taxi drive away (around 30 €) or you can go by bus for around 3 € and that will take you about 30 min. Busses will stop at the train station which is a 10 min walk from the apartment. The train station has a high speed connection with Barcelona. In around 35 min you will be in the hart of that other great city of Catalunya. By train you can for instance also go to Figueres to visit the well know and beautiful Dali museum. If you come by car you have to consider the parking options, the historic quarter, (where the apartment is located) has limited traffic access, so you can’t park on the street. However, you can stop and park in front of the apartment for a few minutes so you can unload your luggage. But after that you have to park the car somewhere else. There are several places to park available near the apartments. There is a paid parking garage available near the apartment which we highly recommend: www.saba.es/sites/particulares Parking Saba Santa Caterina: Plaça de l’hospital, 17001, Girona +34 902 283 080. It’s a 4 min walk. They offer a multi-day ticket that should be useful and economic. If you are interested we could get it for you and give it to you at arrival. There is for instance free parking at la Copa parking on the other side of the river in a short 10-15 minute walk.
