Agriturismo Cerqueto is located about 3 kilometers from the center of Acquapendente (VT), nestled in the hills of Alta Tuscia, on the border between Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. It is a wonderful example of a farmhouse that has well-kept the original atmosphere of a Italian farmhouse. Built in the second half of the 19th century, the farm combines modern comfort with a natural setting in which guests immerse themselves effortlessly. Casa Girasole is the largest apartment of the property, able to accommodate up to seven people. It has an area of 75 square meters with three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds, one with a single bed and a bathroom with shower. The house has a living room with sofa bed, a comfortable kitchen and a fireplace. Guests of the Girasole have their own table, chairs and umbrella in the outdoor area. The house is close to the swimming pool. Those who love outdoor walks can retrace some parts of the ancient Via Francigena on horseback, on foot or by bicycle. Those who love adventure can experience history by following the legendary 'Percorso dei Briganti', an ancient path used by brigands that traveled between Abruzzo and Lazio. The farmhouse Cerqueto is part of our agricultural company Cerqueto SRL. We grow and produce high volumes of organic legumes, vegetables and cereals. Chickpease, lentils, beans and spelled are just some of the specialties that are grown and marketed. The conservation and enhancement of traditional Italian products is the main craftsmanship of the Cerqueto farm. Over time, the range of products has been extended to pasta, oil, paté, olive oil, jams, honey, vegetable-based preparations, wines and liqueurs. Those who love walking outdoors can retrace some parts of the ancient Via Francigena on horseback, on foot or by bike. Those who love adventure can experience the history following the legendary 'Percorso dei Briganti', an old path used by bandits that travelled between Abruzzo and Lazio. Acquapendente is connected to Rome by the Via Francigena, an important Etruscan and Roman path that dates back to the 9th century. Its two fractions, Torre Alfina and Trevinano, both have an ancient medieval castle that allow visitors. The most important festival in the city of Acquapendente is dedicated to the Madonna del Fiore on the 3rd Sunday of May in which you can enjoy the 'Pugnaloni', a parade completely covered with petals of flowers. These exceptional pieces of art are prepared and kept inside the Duomo until the following year.
