Masseria Jala near Gallipoli
Immersed in a grove of olive trees and orange orchards and enclosed by a dry wall characteristic of the region, this former farmhouse has been recently renovated while preserving the architectural materials and typical colors of the Salento region. The main house consists of a large combined kitchen and dining room, a living room with a comfortable sofa-bed that sleeps two, and two bedrooms with double beds that look up to high starry vaulted ceilings, each bedroom having its own private bathroom (with shower). The third bedroom, also having its own private bathroom (with shower), is located in an adjoining building accessed through the common courtyard and can be set up either with a double bed or two twin beds. The exterior of the house is furnished with a large table, a quiet corner to unwind with a small sofa and chairs, various deck chairs for sun-bathing and an outdoor shower. From the terrace above the main core of the farmhouse, one can enjoy the wonderful panorama where the Salento countryside stretches out to the sea. The night sky puts on a spectacular display of moon and stars. Guests have access to the entire property. My co-host, Annamaria, we'll meet you for check-in and she we'll be available for any need. Extra cleaning on request. I will always be availble on the phone during your stay. Situated in a very quiet spot, while only a few minutes from the center of town, it is in an ideal location for accessing the beaches of Gallipoli and for visiting all the treasures of the Salento peninsula. No public transportation nearby. I will provide a map of the region with suggested beaches as well as a plan on how to choose the best beach based on winds.
