The Apartment is a newly built 5 star superior detached 1 bedroom ‘granny’ flat in an exclusive private estate within the very desirable Mauldslie Castle Orchard Estate on the Clyde Valley. The Mauldslie Estate was a regular visitor of Sir Winston Churchill’s Wife, Clementine, who’s family had connections to the area, her Father, Colonel Sir Henry Hozier, brother of the first Lord Newlands, Mauldslie. This beautifully presented 5 star apartment with open plan lounge/ kitchen with an equally desirably separate one spacious bedroom with ample storage space is decorated to an exceptionally high quality throughout. The bathroom has his n hers washbasins and double shower. The kitchen comes fully fitted with all NEFF appliances including washer/dryer, dishwasher and oven. Iron, toaster, kettle and Delonghi coffee maker. The Orchard Apartment has a separate access and not shared. Leave your laptop at home! Bring your bike if you fancy cycling along the Clyde cycle trail. Bring your walking boots to explore the 42 miles the Clyde Walkway has to offer with it’s beautiful scenic views and wildlife. Or bring your easel and paint our beautiful Scottish Scenery. Please note: fishing on the river Clyde requires a permit which must be applied for before you arrive. Within walking distance you have a vast selection of garden Centres offering lots of exciting shopping opportunities and restaurants with amazing homemade dishes. The Popinjay Hotel & Spa is also within walking distance if you fancy treating yourself to some treatments or simply to have a nice relaxing swim, jacuzzi, sauna. Day passes can be purchased directly with the hotel. Unfortunately The Orchard cannot accommodate persons under the age of 15. We are available to our guests 24/7 for any questions to make your stay even better. If we are not on site you can contact us by phone incase of emergency. The Orchard is situated at Garrion Bridge in the heart of the Clyde Valley and is just 500 meters walk from the infamous Clyde Walkway. The Apartment is ideal for couples/Ramblers/Professionals looking for peace & tranquility. Our surroundings also make it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts or people who just enjoy the countryside. The Orchard Apartment also comes with the use of a three hole putting green. Parking is available on site. Bring your bikes if you fancy cycling along the twists and wynds of our beautiful roads/ countryside. Larkhall & Carluke train stations are 5 mins away with direct access to Glasgow Central Station/Argyle St or Edinburgh Waverley approx 45 mins away. The towns of Larkhall & Carluke are approx 5 mins away by car where you can find an array of shopping stores and restaurants & bars including live music (subject to Covid-19 guidance laws). We do not have a carbon monoxide detector because there is no gas in The Orchard Apartment, the heating and air conditioning are environmentally friendly.
