Dignity is surrounded by 2000 acres of farmland. From mid April to mid May we have over 2000 ewes spread around the fields all lambing outside, it's a wonderful sight. We live 1/2 a mile away from Dignity, we try to pop down on the evening of your arrival to answer any questions you may have. If there are any issues during your stay we can normally get them sorted fairly quickly. We have to come down and check the chemicals in the hot tub, this normally happens early morning and we have been and gone before guests even notice! With 2000 acres of our own farmland to roam, everyone will be happy here and we welcome children of all ages as well as dogs. Blackhaugh is home to a pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle herd and a flock of Chevease ewes. With countless different walks and cycle rides in all directions, there are endless possibilities of things to do without even leaving the farm. It is a wildlife paradise providing a haven for deer, foxes, stoats, squirrels, kestrels, barn owls, pheasants, partridges and so much more. Guests are also welcome to try and catch a wild brown trout on the farm loch (unfortunately, due to essential loch maintenance guests will be unable to fish the loch during the 2022 fishing season). If you venture 2 miles further you can try to catch a salmon in the famed River Tweed.
