West End Beach Retreat

Bright, cozy, newly renovated beach house with stunning ocean views. Located steps from the beach, directly in front of the surf break at West End. Spend your days kayaking, paddleboarding, surfing, and swimming. Or walk to the lovely, secluded Otarawairere Bay - all without ever having to get in your vehicle. Just a 10 minute beach stroll from the shops, cafes, and restaurants of Ohope village. The open floor plan provides lovely ocean views from the spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room as well as the main bedroom. The living area spills onto the large deck where you're only steps from the beach. Shower under the stars in the private, hot water outdoor shower. Cook a meal in the well equipped kitchen with 5-burner gas stove and large oven (big enough for even the largest Christmas ham!) The house has two private bedrooms. The third bedroom (with single bed) is located in the open office/play room. Once you are booked, we will email you arrival instructions including plenty of information on the house, the neighborhood, and restaurant and activity options. We will be available via phone/text throughout your stay to answer any questions or handle any issues that may arise. West End is the best swimming and surfing beach in Ohope, with the main surf break directly in front of the house. Our home is on a dead end street in a quiet neighbourhood with a mix of holiday homes and full time residents. By car, it's only 10 minutes over the hill to Whakatane. Public transportation is available at the Ohope shops - a 15 minute walk along the beach or sidewalk.
