VIPONT BEDROOM AT APPLEBY CASTLE

The Vipont bedroom is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. The room has a 6 foot four poster oak bed, with antique chests and furniture. The private bathroom is across the hallway. Antique chairs with tea and coffee making facilities available. Fine dining available in the 15th century dining room. The town centre is 250 yards from the front gate. Experience living history in this gem in the Eden Valley. Overlooking the Inner Bailey, the Vipont room features a King size four poster oak bed with antique furnishings. There is a separate large bathroom with shower. This period room is encased in oak panelling. Common areas include the bar, great hall, old chapel of lounge, dining room, games room old great hall and inner bailey. Our reception is manned from 8am until 10.30am and from 3pm until 10.00pm. There is always someone at the property in case of emergency or urgent assistance. Appleby Castle sits on the hill overlooking the ancient county town of Westmorland. Set at the foot of the Pennines nestled next to the meandering River there are 25 acres of parkland with many animals and nativer red squirrels in the grounds. Appleby Castle cherishes one of the few remaining intact Norman Keeps in the UK. It is a museum detailing the early Norman history intertwined with the history of the castle, with a time line displays and many interesting characters to meet.
