Sunnybank Cottage is a quaint stone built cottage in the village of Little Urswick near Ulverston, South Lakeland. It has a wood-burner, modern electric radiators and a well-equipped kitchen. The main, front bedroom has a king-size bed & nice views over the village and hillside. The back bedroom has an orthopedic double bed. The front garden is a lovely spot for morning sunshine or lunch. There's also a private afternoon suntrap out the back. There's off-road parking on the drive and good pub food within 5 minutes picturesque stroll. You're on the edge of the Lake District National Park, but without the traffic and busy-ness of the tourist towns. Countryside walks like Urswick Tarn & Crags and the stunning views of Birkrigg Common can be done straight from the cottage, with room for muddy boots in the porch! It's five minutes drive to the ice-cream hut and coast-path at Bardsea Sands, to the Kadampa Temple at Conishead Priory, or the Fisherman's Arms at Baycliffe. The bustling market town of Ulverston is 10 minutes drive; it's 15-20 minutes to Lakeside for the Windermere ferries, and 30-40 minutes up to Coniston & Ambleside, or the other way to Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass narrow-gauge steam Railway.
