Peaceful Burgundy Lodge near Taizé and Cluny

A unique home nestled in the calm and charming hills of Southern Burgundy. Enjoy beautiful rural landscapes, large communal spaces and easy access to historic Cluny and Taizé. The home, built by an architect, mimics how ships are built - smaller sleeping quarters with large communal spaces - a perfect place for a family getaway, a reunion or trip among friends. The house consists of 3 private bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 single) and a communal mezzanine area with 3 beds (2 singles one double), one of the beds cut off for privacy. One large communal space/living room, perfect for entertaining, 2.5 baths, smaller communal space furnished with fuse ball table and an office. The large outdoor area is lush and private, perfect for al fresco dining. 10 minutes away from both Cluny and Taizé this is a perfect lieu to discover this historic region. With the exception of a storage room, all rooms of this big house are accessible. You will be greeted by our property manager, who is always a phone call away if you are in need of assistance or have any questions. Tavazeau is located in-between the small and charming villages of Sirot and Flagy. Less than 10 minutes away from both Cluny and Taizé, 25 minutes from Macon and 1 hour north of Lyon. Restaurants, grocery stores and cafés located in Cluny. Like most of France, most things are closed on Sundays and Mondays (though the grocery stores are open until 12pm on Sundays and regular hours Mondays). Also, good to note that most stores/markets etc will close by 7:30PM and dinner will stopped be served in most restaurants by 9PM. A car is necessary for this location. Be aware that dust and insects are part of country life. You will arrive in to a clean space, but it is always possible that dust and small insects may find their way in, especially in warm weather.
