Also close by are the wonderful National Trust properties at Chirk Castle and Erddig, whilst the historic city of Chester, with shops, cathedral and city walls, is within easy reach. 10 minutes away by car is the world heritage site Pontcysyllte aqueduct which is built on 19 pillars over 100 feet (30 metres) above the River Dee.
