Gite Vue de l'Eglise provides comfortable and relaxing self-catering accommodation for up to eight people in the village of Brux in the Vienne department of Western France. The gite is close to Futuroscope and La Vallée des Singes (Monkey Valley), while the beautiful villages of Verteuil sur Charente and Nanteuil en Vallee are just a short drive away. With its flat countryside, the Vienne is ideal for exploring by bike, while nearby rivers provide ample opportunities to swim or paddle by canoe. This newly-renovated, four-star graded gite sleeps up to a maximum of eight people comfortably in three bedrooms (two doubles and a twin), plus two additional single beds on a large mezzanine. There are two shower rooms, modern kitchen facilities (including a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee-maker and electric range cooker), plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The spacious living room has a cosy wood-burner, sofas, armchairs and coffee tables. There is also a flat-screen TV with both English and French channels, plus a DVD player with an extensive library of films. At the end of the living room, there are double doors leading out into the garden. Outside the property, there is a gravelled terrace with sun-loungers, patio furniture and a BBQ. Beyond the terrace is a long lawn area with views across the nearby fields. The garden is fully enclosed - ideal if you are bringing your dog on holiday with you. Under the covered car port, there is a table-tennis table for guests' use. Other external facilities include a boules set, and a badminton net with rackets. Bikes can be hired and delivered to the gite on request (please ask for further details on booking). Guests will have access to the whole property and private, enclosed garden. The property is accessible via a key-safe, so you can check yourself into the gite anytime after 4:00 pm. The access code will be sent to you at least 24 hours before arrival. Our property manager, Jonathan, lives 10 minutes away and will be available to respond to any enquiries throughout your stay. Contact information will be provided upon your arrival. With its flat countryside, fields of yellow sunflowers and picturesque villages, the Vienne department is ideal to explore by bike or on foot, while the meandering rivers of the Charente, Vienne and Clain are perfect for a lazy paddle by canoe. Bikes can be hired and collected on site if required. Several waymarked walking/cycling trails can be followed directly from the gite and are suitable for all the family. The property itself is close to some of the department’s best known tourist attractions, including the Futuroscope theme park and La Vallée des Singes (Monkey Valley), while the beautiful villages of Verteuil sur Charente and Nanteuil en Vallee are just a short drive away. With easy access to the RN10 and within 35 minutes of the airport and train station at Poitiers, this spacious gite is an ideal holiday base for families, couples or friends. Parking for up to two cars is available on-site free-of-charge. The maximum number of guests must not exceed eight adults, plus a baby in a cot.
