Fairytale Treehouse in Southern Hungary
The magnificent treehouse can accommodate up to 5 people. At Hunza, this includes a nice living space, terrace, kitchenette, shower and dry toilet. Hunza Ecolodge is a place for ecotourism which offers glamping, a treehouse and mini camping, or can be rented out as group accommodation, in Southern Hungary. Our 2 ha of land is located at the border of the forest, in a little village, Bodolyabér. This small scaled facility is designed with great care for private areas and communal places, brightened by a big variety of edible plants. Close to nature, with a deep respect for nature. The three diverse natural areas, not less than 1200km² is the green blessing of our surroundings. Mecsek hills, Zselic slopes and the riverbanks of the Danube and Dráva guarantee an abundant fauna and flora to discover. Sports and other outdoor activities are found according each ones age and interest. Upon your arrival Hunza will provide all detailed information to get to the hidden treasures of the region. Pécs is undoubtedly one of the most bursting cultural and artistic centres of Hungary, with on top a Mediterranean atmosphere. In the many villages of the hills arts and traditions are being well kept, a trip through the Baranya will easily let you travel back in time. Diverse terroirs and a wine tradition which dates back to the Roman era make Hungarian wines well worth to discover. In the surroundings of Hunza dry white wines are made in the Pécs wine region, renowned reds are produced in and around Villány and Szekszárd. The gastronomical centre of Pécs brings all of this together in cozy bars, fine restaurants and many food and wine festivals. Hungarians know what’s good in life: thermal baths, sauna, massage and a good chat. Since centuries this is part of the Hungarian culture. The many thermal springs have specific beneficial qualifications according to the depth from where the hot water comes and its mineral content. Nowadays most thermal baths have a full wellness complex with all modern facilities and playing possibilities for kids and youngsters. The train station of Sásd is at 7 km from Hunza with a very good connection (only 2 hours) from the Budapest Keleti train station. Frequent buses run to the bus stop called 'Kisbodolya'. From there Hunza Ecolodge is reached in a 2 minutes walk. During the weekend buses run less! If you arrive by train in Sasd, find the local busstation in the centre of Sasd, next to the Asia shop, 10 minutes walking from the railwaystation. The least green way will be provided by low-cost airlines (such as Wizzair and Ryanair), arriving in Budapest Airport. From there train, shuttle bus ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) or rental cars are the options to reach the ecolodge.
