Beautiful old Cotswold cottage with incredible views and interesting layout. Oldest part 1750's. In a village with pub and shop 2 mins walk. Open fires and plenty of areas to sit and relax. Semi detached very old cottage that has been added to over 250 years to become a 10 roomed dwelling. set away from the road, incredibly quiet and peaceful. great for long walks and fireside reading, 4 bedrooms and 4 living rooms. 1 bathroom and another toilet. Please note that the attic bedroom is accessed by going thru one of the main bedrooms, so great for families but maybe not for individuals who arent too intimate. The whole house is available. and most of the garden. There is a guest house (the wooden house) in the garden that is also availble to rent, so might have other guests there but we have never had any issues with this. Next door neighbour and co/host Tony is on hand for questions and general help. Set in the middle of the glorious Seven valleys, in the heart of beautiful walks and interesting history. the cottage is in a prettty Cotswald hilltop village with an amazing view of Lypiatt Manor, a grade 1 listed building. Eastcombe has its own shop/post office and pub. The shop opens at 6am-7.30pm and sells fresh pastries and bread and almost anything else you might need. The Lamb Inn is 2 mins walk and serves lunch and dinner. Please note that it is wise to book at weekends for lunch or dinners (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). The lavender Bakehouse at the bottom of the hill in Chalford is highly recommended for breakfast. A couple of miles away on the A419 east bound is Jolly Nice which sells cooked food, has a butchers, and all other organic produce and delicious ice cream and is open til 7.30pm. On saturday morning is the famous farmers market in Stroud (Award winning) There are many pubs to eat in near Eastcombe, and a lot of sunday lunches available. Note that on sunday evening most pubs dont sell food after 4pm except the Ragged Cot Cirencester Rd, Minchinhampton, Stroud GL6 8PE The surrounding countryside has many lovely walks right on the doorstep. There is a parking space. in the open garage under the wooden house, and parking in the lane. There is public transport to local towns. Fidges Lane is directly next to the Post Office in the centre of the village of Eastcombe. thhe cottage is 4th on the left as you drive down Fidges lane you will pass 2 houses on the left and then an old petrol pump, the house after this is 1 & 2 Laburnam cottages . number 2 is accessed by walking down the path. the wooden house is a garage/studio which is on the property. if people are staying there, they might be seen walking thru the top garden!
