Mount Nebo Studio

The Studio is the entire downstairs of the main house. It is completely separate to the host's quarters upstairs. You have your own entry and own private space with a bathroom, toilet, kitchen, verandah, lounge and bedroom. The Studio is located in the mountain community village and is close to bush walking trails, mountain bike trails and cafes. Checkin is 12 midday. Checkout is 10am. The Studio has a rustic charm built from reclaimed timbers, but is newly-constructed showing how old pieces can work within a new design. The unique bunker-style bedroom has a double bed, and offers a cosy place to sleep in. The Studio is designed for 2 people only. There is only one double bed set up for your stay. The sofa in the loungeroom can turn into a single bed-sized lounging space. If you would like to use the sofa as a bed, a $5 donation would be appreciated for the extra linen and mattress cushioning required (please let the host know prior to your stay). Unfortunately the studio and bush surrounds isn't suitable for gests under 12 years old. You have your own private verandah. Eco-style facilities including a rainwater supply, a Nature loo and handmade soap make your stay just that little more sustainable. A mozzie met, mozzie repellent and mozzie coils are all provided if needed. Please bring all your food and other provisions. The nearest shops are 20min drive away at The Gap and Samford. Check local café webpages such as' Café in the Mountains' at Mount Nebo and other cafes at Mount Glorious (a further 15 min drive up the mountain) for their opening times. TV reception can be intermittent on the mountain, and only select channels are available. Wifi details are in the Studio. Private access to the laundry is available for longer stays (please let the host know prior to your stay as a separate key is required). Please park you car in the driveway, rather than the street. The double brick driveway is shared with the host. Interaction if needed, otherwise it is your private space. Mount Nebo has a Village community atmosphere. There are two cafes located 1-2 km from the Studio. Other cafes and a restaurant are located at Mount Glorious. There are no shops on the mountain - the closest shops are at The Gap or Samford, a 25-30 minute drive down the mountain. The Studio is close to beautiful D'Aguilar National Park that has both long and short bushwalking trails and forestry trails for mountain biking. Mount Nebo Road is exceptionally quiet during the week and rather busy with motorists on weekends. Check the Mount Nebo Residents Association web page for details on upcoming events at the local hall. There is no public transport on the mountain. You will need your car, mountain bike, motor bike or walking to get around. Unfortunately the Studio is not suited to wheelchairs. Edie the little black dog may greet you from the upstairs verandah (she is friendly) and you may hear Muddy the cat's pitter-patter upstairs. The Studio has a fully operational kitchen. If you would like to check-out later than midday, please check with the host. If another guest is arriving, this will not be possible :(
