Cider Farm is an architecturally designed home, set amongst old orchard pear trees, and nestled into the hillside with breathtaking views of the D’entrecasteaux Channel and Bruny Island. Located in the pretty village of Middleton in Tasmania’s South-East, just 40 min from Hobart and 1 hour from the airport. Cider Farm is a gorgeous light filled home. It has two bedrooms and accommodates up to 4 people, with 1 queen size, 1 double bed. Perfect for couples. The home is freshly renovated, modern and beautifully furnished. With timber floorboards throughout, it is open plan, and the living room drinks in the awe-inspiring views of the Channel across to Bruny Island. A wonderful place to relax, restore, read, watch a movie or Netflix series, have a glass of wine in front of the fire, or even paint or draw if you feel inclined. With a state-of-the-art kitchen (with Miele & Smeg appliances), you can cook up a storm with the fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden and the local produce the area is so famous for. or if you don’t feel like cooking there’s plenty of lovely local eateries to enjoy nearby such as Peppermint Bay, the Woodbridge Village Store, and the Oyster Cove Inn, to name a few. Cider Farm will keep you warm in winter, with a wood fire and Scandinavian electric wall heating, and cool in summer with AC. You have access to wifi & and Telstra TV. Locally produced breakfast provisions will be provided. Cider Farm is set at the end of a private road in a beautiful garden on 18 acres, surrounded by heritage pear trees, natural bushland and wildlife. Go for bushwalks, help yourself to fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden, and enjoy a BBQ on the open deck overlooking the wide expanses of the Channel across to Bruny Island. Abundant birdlife, native hens and wallabies will keep you company, however the property is fenced to protect the garden. Cider Farm is close to the charming village of Woodbridge (8 mins) and Peppermint Bay, and the Middleton General store is only 2 minutes down the road for all your supplies. Cider Farm makes a great base to explore the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Bruny Island and neighbouring Huon Valley and the area's endless activities, food, wine and adventure. It is recommended to have a car for your stay at Cider Farm to properly enjoy the area.
