We offer individual rooms or an entire apartment in a bright, modern house in the city of Horta on Faial island, Azores. The house is situated in a calm area of the city yet only a short walk away from shops, restaurants and cafes as well as the ferry terminal. Banana Manor is a family home, not a hotel. Your hosts live in a separate unit on the premises. We do all we can to offer guests a clean, welcoming and safe place and to respect their needs and sensitivities. In exchange we also expect respectful and gentle use of the facilities and resources offered to our guests. Besides your spacious, bright room you have access to community areas, including a full kitchen. A private bathroom can be reserved if available. Guests can relax on the balcony or in the garden, take a walk through the lush banana plantation and have a chat with our chickens. Free wi-fi is available everywhere in the city of Horta and can be accessed by most guests near their windows. Access to a shared or private bathroom, depending on availability. Access to all community areas and the entire garden and back yard. You can contact us any time for questions you may have or support you may need to make your stay a success. Our insider tips can make your day. Time permitting, we love to hear your stories and share ours. Although centrally located, our house is in a calmer part of the city of Horta. Our neighborhood has a small river, a beach and a park with a playground and skate park. Grocery shops and bakeries are very close by to cover your self-catering needs. 15 min. taxi ride from airport. 5 min. walk to ferry terminal and beach park. 20 min. walk to the marina (scuba diving, whale watching etc.) and large grocery stores. Bakeries and restaurants are only a few minutes walk from the house. You will need to confirm your check-in time a few days before your arrival by phone or e-mail to make sure we will be around to let you in. Luggage drop-off may be possible but is never guaranteed and is depending on the circumstances. Children aged 10 or younger stay for free in a room with their parent(s)
