Very central, cosy and bright studio apartment, 5 minutes walk to Kerameikos metro station, walking distance from lively Thisseion, Acropolis and Monastiraki areas. Affordable and cheerful! Composed of one area, the space has been distributed to make it a functional holiday home with all the necessities. Ideal for two people, it has a living area with a double sofa-bed and a sofa, a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and a dining table. The neighborhood is full of local tavernas, which soon fill up in the evenings (Greeks dine for hours) and bohemian café.There are also a local bakery, a big super market, pharmacies, bus stops, a gas station, all in 3 minutes walk. Gazi, a new neighbourhood is nearby, lined with funky restaurants and bars, yet dominated by the old gasworks, now cultural centre, better known as the Technopolis. You can walk through it (it is also a museum about the old gas industry in Athens) and admire the old architecture, which has now given a modern and edgy makeover. It’s particularly impressive at night when the gas chimneys shine with a red glow and the streets are heaving with busy bars.
