The beaches, the shops and the restaurants are in walking distances. This little Thai teak-house (about 35 sqm) is perfect for your long-stay retreat on Koh Mak. The house has a terrace, water-kettle, hot water shower and A/C fits for two persons. The Thai wooden house is nestled in lush tropical gardens. Equipped with a modern bathroom and designed and made of original and antique teak-wood. Two of the best white sand beaches of Koh Mak are just 250 to 300 meters away. Koh Mak is a very remote and peaceful island. No ATM and no 7/11 here. Far away from mass-tourism and bars. It is the right place if you want to just relax and have peace. The house will be cleaned by our staff every 3-4 days. We are able to provide bedding and bath towels, but we ask that guests bring their own beach towels. You also have access to our library with a big selection of dvd's, books and please feel free to use our office space in the "library" It is pretty easy to get to Koh Mak via private minibus or limo-service. Bank/Money: There are no banks and no ATM's on Koh Mak. Checks are not accepted. It is almost impossible to exchange currencies. Activities: Activities include scuba diving and snorkeling – there are two dive shops on the island. Boats are easily hired to take you to some of the many other unspoiled islands nearby. In the high season, there is a regular speedboat service to the neighbouring island of Koh Chang, the second biggest in Thailand. It has far more tropical desert island feel to it than other islands nearby ( Koh Chang, Koh Kood) as no matter where you are you are never more than a few minutes from a palm fringed beach. No matter where you stay -you are usually within walking or cycling distance of wherever you want to go. The message is clear: You are here to relax and not be disturbed by the masses. Perfect location for island hopping. The best way to travel around Koh Mak is by foot, bike or motorbike. If you wish, we help you to organize a private pick-up service with a limousine (1-3 persons = 4.000 Baht) or minibus (1-5 persons =5.000 Baht). The driver pick you up at 10.30 at the hotel or airport.
