A 3 bedroom first floor apartment within this beautiful villa, completely private with terrace and private swimming pool. On the edge of a village amid pine and eucalyptus Forrest. On the edge of a typical Portuguese village Casacalado is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The house is a great base for many fantastic towns and beach resorts in the area. After a days sightseeing you can have a leisurly dip in the pool and chill out on a sunlounger. The 2 double and 1 twin bedroom upstairs apartment has a large fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with shower, lounge with dining table which has direct access to the large terrace. The lounge has a dvd player and cable tv. Free Wifi around the whole property. All guests have access to the swimming pool and loungers ( towels are provided ). We have cycles that our guests are welcome to use. Outside beside the pool there is an outside kitchen with bbq and dining area. There is an extensive library, dvd collection and board games Guests can borrow chairs, parasols, beach towels and cool boxes for days out to the gorgeous nearby beaches. As we live downstairs we are available for any advice you might need regarding your stay or even pop in for a coffee anytime ! Casacalado is situated on the edge of the village surrounded by pine and eucalyptus forests. There are 2 local café bars within walking distance and the main village is around 20 mins walk. Friendly locals will make your stay memorable. There are numerous restaurants a short drive away. A 10 min cycle ride will find you in the village of Cadima where you can buy freshly made bread and pastries at the local bakers. There is also a small supermarket, pharmacy and fishmongers. The town of Cantanhede is around 10 mins drive. Here you will find 3 large supermarkets , numerous restaurants and bars. A lovely place to spend the morning wandering around the local shops. Casacalado is a great central base for day trips to the area. The historical city of Coimbra is 28km, Porto 120km and Aveiro 40km . Beautiful beaches like Mira and Figueira de Foz are a great day out and are only a short drive away. Due to the location of Casacalado I recommend hiring a car to get about. We do offer an airport pick up and drop off service ( chargeable ) Free on site parking is available.
