Bimbi Park is in Cape Otway, the center of the Great Ocean Road and Walk, an area of magnificent forests, beaches, secluded bays, and spectacular coastline. It is sheltered among tall manna gums far away from the wearing noise of towns and traffic. The park is full of native wildlife, including koalas, echidnas, wallabies, kangaroos, and birdlife. Accommodation to suit all budgets from campsites, powered campsites, on-site vans, bunkrooms, camping pods, standard and deluxe cabins. TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN AN EMERGENCY A siren will go off and every one must assemble at ASSEMBLY AREA 1. (20metres in front of the office). We will keep you up dated on the issue. TREES There is always a risk that trees may drop a branch. Guests stay here only on the condition that they accept that risk. DO NOT camp directly under branches. WATER Rain and a spring provide our water. If you are use to chlorinated water you should boil the water before drinking. Drinking water is available in bottles at the kiosk or U.V. sterilized outside the kiosk. SHOWERS Due to Bimbi being on tank and not town water we need to reduce our water usage. Installed in our amenities block are shower timers that take Bimbi Tokens which cost $1 per 3 minutes. PETS Please refer to our pet friendly policy REFUNDS We do not give refunds for early departure. BINS and CHICKENS. Please use the correct bins for your waste. We have general waste bins, recycled bins and food scrap bins. You can also take your food scraps to the chicken pen and enjoy feeding our chickens. Guests must not chase or handle the birds. KIOSK The shop is open between 9 am and 7pm EMERGENCY NUMBERS Telstra mobile phones work at Bimbipark. In an emergency come to office and we will assist you as much as we can. There is a pay phone at the park entrance. Apollo Bay Hospital: (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Ambulance, Police, Fire brigade 000 SNAKES Snakes are active spring, summer and autumn. Stay on the tracks and keep a look out for them. You probably won’t see one. They will not harm you, just leave them alone. CHECK IN AND OUT During summer period check in after 2pm and check out at 10am. If possible other arrangements can be made with management. CAMP FIRES Fires may only be lit in fire bins, NOT ON THE GROUND and are not allowed on total fire ban days. Fire wood and bins can be ordered at the shop. NOISY CAMPERS We do not have an official curfew but expect our guests to respect everyone around them and the environment and keep noise to a minimum at all times. If complaints are made from other guests the noisy group will be asked to leave with no refund. Our reception is open 9am to 7pm. We have maps and lots of info about the area, come and say hi. For after-hours check in please call (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) during the day so we can arrange keys and a map. We are available 24 hours a day for emergencies. Short walks and car trips take you to beaches and rock headlands where the great Southern Ocean roars onto the shore, short drive to safe sandy bays and beaches where children can swim and play. There are lots of longer walks in the magnificent forests of Otway National Park including “The Great Ocean Walk”. You can fish from the rocks and beaches, go snorkeling for fish, Crayfish and Abalone (check fisheries for seasons). Visit the historic Cape Otway Lighthouse built in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , The Otway Fly, 12 Apostles, Loc Arc Gorge, Maits Rest, Californian Redwoods, Triplet falls, Hopetoun Falls and lots more water falls and natural sites free of charge. There is no public transport to Bimbi Park. There are private shuttle providers which we can organize for you.
