Rose by the Sea Beach Stay, Adelaide, sleeps 8+ .

This charming cottage is only a hundred metres from sandy Semaphore beach and close to Semaphore road shopping. Until this year, guests came from interstate or overseas for Sporting events and weddings or reunions. These things aren't happening now so we would love to offer Rose by the Sea for longer stays at a large discount. Please enquire! Rose by the Sea is a fully self contained house, your home away from home. You can see the sea from the front verandah - it is only one house from the esplanade. The house has been lovingly decorated in heritage style and furnished with comfortable "shabby-chic" pre-loved furniture designed to make you feel relaxed and at home. It is a typical old Semaphore home, bearing the marks of time! If you like things quaint and charming, this is your style. There are lots of original art works on the walls and books in the shelves. There are two queen beds, four single beds and one single "roll away" bed, arranged in four bedrooms (two double and two twin). There are two bathrooms, one brand new, and a brand new kitchen with gas cooktop and two electric ovens, dishwasher, microwave etc. The backyard is plain but sunny and sheltered and has an outdoor setting, deck and new BBQ. If you are a parkrun enthusiast, we are only about 1 km from Largs Bay parkrun, 8am Saturday mornings. And the city is a pleasant 14km cycle trip along the Port Adelaide Greenway safe cycleway. You can ask me for details! The entire house is available for you during your stay. The property is self check in. You have complete privacy. However I am available by phone if you have a problem. Semaphore is an Historic sea-side suburb. There is a wide sandy beach backed by sand hills. Nearby is a funfair, waterslide and steam train which are open during summer holidays. There is a long jetty where many people fish. Largs Bay Parkrun is only 1.5km away - a friendly parkrun event every Saturday morning at 8am. The Beach trail extends north and south to either end of the Adelaide beaches and provides ample opportunity for walking, running and cycling. There is also the Outer Harbour Greenway, a cycle way to the CBD of around 14km of shared paths and quiet back streets through typical Adelaide suburbs. Ask your host if you want to discover the cycleway! During summer there are often weekend festivals on the foreshore - music festivals, cultural festivals, even a kite flying festival! This can mean that there is some noise with people passing up and down the street on those weekends, otherwise the street is quiet. Semaphore road is a bustling centre filled with cafes and quirky shops. Not far away is historic Port Adelaide with museums and other attractions. Semaphore is located 30minutes from Adelaide CBD by car and there is good public transport. There is parking on the property and on the street a few metres further up, but immediately outside the property street parking is limited to two hours. The train station is 10 - 15 minutes walk (Glanville station or Peterhead station) and the train takes less than 30 min to Adelaide Railway station. Timetables can be found online and some are provided at the house. Bus stop 45A is less than 5 minutes walk, for a 50 min trip to North Terrace, Adelaide. Timetables online and at the house. Uber is also popular in Adelaide - 20 -30 minutes by car to the CBD. There is parking on the property but please note the driveway is very narrow. Also, please be aware that street parking immediately outside the house is limited to two hours. A few metres further along the street parking is unlimited. The house is on a street that is usually quiet, but sometimes on weekends and evenings in the summer there will be a little noise with people walking along the street homewards from the beach or entertainment nearby.
