Casa Rosa is a rare Villa. It was built in the early 1800s and retains most of it’s original features. The south facing house, overlooks Lake Trasimeno, basking in the Tuscan sun amongst 300 private olive trees. Enjoy feeling at home away from home with the outdoor kitchen, pool, large living areas, all with spectacular panoramic views of the lake from dawn to dusk. Our wonderful italian caretaker lives down the road. July-August the pool and garden is private. Pets are most welcome. After two years of loving restoration of a 19th century Villa we opened Casa Rosata to our guests in 2016. This is our home, that we are happy to share when we are not living here. Everything at Casa Rosata has been handpicked from our travels around the world. This includes the furniture, the fittings and the art on the walls. We are also very lucky to have our Italian neighbour - Luigina as the Villa caretaker, who loves our guests and the home as much as we do. We hope you will enjoy your vacation at Casa Rosa and treasure it as much as we do. You will be on a historical hill - the house is built on the same hills where the famous battle of Hannibal took place in 217 BC where he ambushed and defeated the mighty Romans.
