The Beach House at Perranuthnoe has an unrivalled setting in this designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It comprises two superbly renovated contemporary properties situated in 2.5 acres of meadows with direct access to over 360' of accessible beach front. It is designed to take full advantage of its wonderful position, with stunning unbroken views from Cudden Point to St Michaels Mount. It sleeps 12-14 across the main house and adjoining cottage and was designed with families in mind. The Beach House sits in a plot of 2.5 acres including a meadow, surrounded by Cornish hedges on three sides and the Atlantic on the other. A gated private drive leads to the main house and parking for several cars, continuing on to the cottage. The drive is flanked by well-stocked herbaceous borders to create a natural boundary. The grounds extend to mean high water mark giving the house extremely rare sea frontage. In the easternmost corner of the meadow a small terrace and fire pit trap the evening sun and take in the view as the sun sets over St Michaels Mount. There is an outside hot water shower to cater for winter surfers, storage, washing and drying facilities for surfboards kayaks and paddle boards. Wet suits in many sizes and other outdoor gear is provided for your use on site. There is also a gym and games room (including pinball, games console and a competition standard pool table) at the front of the property for use all year round. In summer months, for visitors who require it a source of entertainment for children are our tame miniature ponies who can be stabled onsite and will graze in our private meadow. The first floor master bedroom with ensuite features a large private roof terrace, providing guests with stunning unbroken views across Perranuthnoe all the way to St. Michaels Mount and on to Mousehole in the distance. There are two further bedrooms, sharing a family bathroom and a wonderful “Bunk Room” with ensuite, for children or young adults, that sleeps up to 5 in trendy “attic” style accommodation. The second master bedroom with en-suite is located on the ground floor and has been sensitively configured to be both wheelchair accessible and designed for other special needs. The large open plan living / dining room has sliding glass bifold doors facing south to the Atlantic and opening up onto a large south facing sun and dining terrace. A large fully equipped kitchen with breakfast nook, reading room, WC and utility room designed for surfing, hiking and outdoor life complete the ground floor interior. The meadows have been dog-proofed to ensure that canine guests have 2 acres to roam or run in without fear of escape. Fast Wifi is available in both houses and on the grounds. Sky TV, Apple TV, Netflix and Spotify are accessible throughout. Cottage A detached cottage that sleeps 4 is set behind the main house with views across fields to the sea. Set over two floors, there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen opening to the open-plan living / dining area. The cottage features its own private terrace and parking and is separated from the main house and grounds by a high hedge. The property also faces south-west. ---- Up to ONE dog is allowed with you, DOWNSTAIRS ONLY. Getting Here: Travelling west on the A30, shortly after passing through Crowlas, take the first exit at Newton Roundabout on to the A394 signposted to Helston. After around half a mile, turn right immediately after the Dynasty restaurant on the right side of the road. Follow the road down to Perranuthnoe, continuing through the village until you reach the small car park on your left. Take the left immediately after the car park and drive down the country lane, staying right twice. The gate for the Beach House is a few hundred metres down the lane. NB. Some SATNAV systems will try to bring you into Perranuthnoe via Trebartha Lane. DO NOT come this way. This is an impassable farm track and whilst on the map looks like it reaches The Beach House, it does not!! We are available to help you with anything throughout your stay, just a few miles away. Perranuthnoe is an unspoilt Cornish Village. There is a Pub (Website hidden by Airbnb) an ancient church and two small cafes. That gives the village a very quiet atmosphere and you may feel that you are a long way from anywhere, and yet in reality you are only a 6 minute drive from Penzance which offers a whole host of facilities including a number of large supermarkets (two of which will deliver to The Beach House) restaurants, museums and shopping. For those that prefer a "busier" nightlife than watching the sun go down at our sunken firepit, St Ives is only 15 minutes away! This is a live feed of the beach at Perranuthnoe. The South West Coast Path actually runs through the bottom of the meadow at The Beach House. Turn left out of our gate onto the cliffs and in half an hour (or so!) you can walk past Cudden Point and on to Prussia Cove, one of Cornwall's most beautiful spots, or turn right and you can follow a very gentle stretch past the village, on to Boat Cove and then you'll be at Marazion and St Michaels Mount. Penzance Mainline Railway Station or the previous stop on the line, St Erth are a 10 minute taxi ride from The Beach House. Other public transport is very limited.
