This place is like an “oasis” in the heart of Cairo, as some guests reviewed it. On the main level, you can chill, cook, eat, and entertain while enjoying open and heavenly park and sky views - no imposing buildings or peeking eyes. It is Feng Shui-designed to elevate your energy as it soothes you away from the noise and chaos of the city. This smoke-free pad is not just a place to crash but rather a total soothing experience for all your senses: captivating Park views, ultra clean, luxury furnishings to the touch, comfy beds, ample indirect mood lighting, and a kitchen fit for a chef (it even has a sink disposal which is rare in Egypt!). It is in a prime location, close to many restaurants and shopping districts, the airport and downtown, as well as the Al-Ahram metro station. The apartment is in a two-elevator classic Heliopolis building - sorry not a luxury building! Many buildings are rather classic in the old but lovely historic area of Heliopolis, which is very safe anytime of day or night. I designed this home to suit my creative and spiritual needs as an international filmmaker and a writer. U might see me if I have a shoot in Egypt, otherwise u will meet my lovely co-host who lives next-door. I would like to note that this is a 2-bedroom apartment, but I rent it as 1-bedroom. I lock my second bedroom which has my personal stuff while I live a nomad lifestyle!! Namaste🙏🏻 Guests can access all the one-bedroom apartment - minus my locked second bedroom. If I am not there, i am still very involved... just an online call or a text message away. I instruct my assistants to promptly address any guest concerns. The neighborhood is safe and literally doesn’t sleep but luckily not noisy. It boosts many options for restaurants (Italian-Egyptian-Vegetarian, Gluten-free - healthy- Arab - Lebanese- Fast food). Also, it has shops, including H&M, cafes, banks, hair salons, pharmacies, tailor, juice bar joints, and a health club/spa all within walking distance. Roxy shopping district is a 5-min walk. Cairo’s most classic shopping area of Korba is less than 5-min-Uber ride away. The historic Maryland park is across from the apartment building. It is considered one of the main attractions in Heliopolis since the 1950s. I has jogging/walking tracks. It has been under renovation but there are sections of it open to the public. For organic and imported foods, and electronics, check out Royal House mega market. It faces the park on the opposite side of our building. Al-Ahram metro stop is only 10 min walk. The apartment is truly CENTRALLY LOCATED so within 20-40 min you can visit Old Cairo, downtown, Maadi, Zamalek, Mohandesin, or Tagamu and Maadi. It is only 15 min away from the airport. - Uber always around. - Al-Ahram Metro stop is 10 min walk - 6 min to Korba, Cairo’s most historic n elegant shopping area The apartment is truly CENTRALLY LOCATED: - 15 min to airport - 35 min to 5th District - 35 min to Cairo’s Downtown, including: * Egyptian Museum (35 min) * Old Cairo (20 min) * Nasr City’s City Stars Mall (15 min) * Maadi (35) * Giza (60 min) No pets. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING inside the house at all. Smoking is allowed only on the balcony while glass door is closed using an ashtray that is usually on kitchen counter and in balcony. Following Egyptian law, foreign guests should provide the host/building super w a passport copy. It will only be provided to state security upon their request. Also, per the law, Egyptian or half Egyptian couple must show marriage certificate. Upon your checkout, the place must be left in a decent condition and shown in pictures.
