Relax in style in our Garden Suite - North Bali

The Garden Suite is an apartment on the ground floor of Villa Cempaka, situated in Gunung Paradis, a energising holiday retreat. Gunung Paradis is built in an originally mango orchard which is converted into a lush tropical garden with 2 villa's, a large swimming pool and a staff house with central kitchen and security. The retreat has its own mountain spring well. Additional services are a private butler, an extensive menu choice, yoga, massages and various outdoor/nature activities. The spacious Garden Suite has a Kings size bed and a fully equipped bathroom. In the garden are several places to sit or to lay down. You also can relax or eat in a private balé benong (sort of garden pavilion), from where you have a beautiful view over the Munduk valley and mountains. The suite is a part of 'Gunung Paradise', It is a part of 'Gunung Paradise', an old mango orchard in which 2 villa's surrounds a spacious lush tropical garden with large swimming pool and a staff house with security lobby and central kitchen. Gunung Paradise is surrounded by pure authentic nature and Balinese family life. De Garden Suite has its own entrance on the garden side. The swimming pool and the garden surrounding it are accessible for all the guests of the Gunung Paradis (max 16 when fully occupied). There are several separated seating areas around the pool. After the booking is final we will send additional information about the extra services we can provide to enhance the feeling of relaxing and joyfulness. Karien and I live on the top floor of Villa Cempaka ourselves when that floor is not rented out. In any case we stay on the compound most of the time which enables close interaction with our guests whenever that is needed. If possible we like to welcome our guests ourselves. We respect the privacy of our guests in full and take care of special requests as much as possible. Gunung Paradis is located in the cooler hills of North Bali at the beginning of the beautiful Mayong-Munduk valley. Surrounded by tropical forest and plantations (clove and coffee). We have beautiful views to the volcanos and down to the Balisea which starts about 6 km from Gunung Paradis. Many interesting places and activities are within ½ - 1 hour drive from the retreat. Just a brief summary of possible activities: Many temples, Singaraja the old heritage town, trekking, waterfalls, dolphin watching, beaches, snorkeling, diving at Pemuteran or Menjangan Island, Bedugul with golf course, Botanical garden and Treetop adventure park, nature hiking and canoeing at Lake Tamblingan, the Munduk valley with waterfall hike and more. Watersports can be enjoyed like snorkeling, diving in Pemuteran and Menjangan Island and paragliding in Temukus. We can organize also art- and cooking classes. Village tours, Hot springs, beautiful rice fields. The latter will give you a glimpse of traditional Balinese life which is still surrounding us. More details after booking. We have a free parking space on the compound. If you need transport we can provide a rental car with driver or you can rent a motorbike. Public transport is very effective though rather primitive. One can stop busses by raising your hand on the main road that pass our resort. There is a lot of beautifully landscaped garden space in Gunung Paradis, even a children’s playground. Baby cod and -chair are available on request The bookable butler service means that a private butler will take care of cleaning your room(s) or villa in the morning and take orders for and serve your meals during the day. We can cater for special vegan-, vegetarian- or gluten free dietary requests. Special healthy fruit and fermented drinks are available. Ask for our options. Your butler will consult you also for trips and any other advice you may need to make your stay as comfortable, enjoyable and unforgettable possible. He has one important aim and that is to make it hard for you to leave. We provide you with an information book that explains about the menu, prices of meals, activities, trips and laundry etc.
