The Annex

We are situated just outside the picturesque village of Bagnall. We are a 25 minute drive from Alton Towers, 20 minutes from the market town of Leek and 20 minutes from the Potteries. The annex is a self contained building standing next to our home. It has a fully equipped kitchen complete with a washing machine. We have a number of animals sharing our lives, most of whom are very happy to welcome visitors. The annex offers a modern comfortable living space. As you step into the building you enter the fully equipped kitchen, complete with washing machine. Downstairs there is a seating area/bedroom comprising of a single bed with a truckle, a table and 4 chairs. There are French windows that open onto a private patio with table and chairs. It is from the patio that you can meet our ponies and Gareth the donkey - who loves visitors. The shower room, WC and hand basin is accessed from this room downstairs. Accessed from a small stair case, you will find the main bedroom containing a standard double bed with 2 bed side tables and lamps. A sofa, easy chair and TV. We offer a complimentary selection of breakfast cereals with fresh milk. There is a range of books and wildlife magazines to help you make your stay more entertaining. The annex is not over looked and sits in a rural setting overlooking countryside and open land. There are many country walks in the local area of which Julia or Arnie will gladly point you in the right direction (or are able to organise the search party if you are not back before dark). At the back of the property we have an outside area where guests are welcome to sit and chat to the chickens, cats, geese and rabbit, and of course the ponies if they are around. At the annex we want to make your stay as relaxing as possible. We are available if needed and can give you recommendations of places to eat, drink, and visit. We love our animals and are happy to introduce you to as many or as few as you wish. We live on the outskirts of the very pretty village of Bagnall. There is a tea shop in walking distance at the local garden centre and a bit further along in the village there is the village pub which has a very good menu as well as offering a typical village pub experience. As previously mentioned we are in a rural location which is not on any public transport links. We are a 15min drive away from the local bus and train station. If you are considering booking the annex and you have no transport we can always pick you up. If you are like us and drive hybrid / electric vehicle we have an electric point outside that you are welcome to use (at cost) during your stay at the annex. Our location is rural with all local amenities no more than a 15 minute drive. There are several local good food and drink establishments offering a wide range of cuisine and real ales. We would be more than happy to make a reservation on your behalf. We have a lot of animals.
