Tunley Farm House is a unique place to stay, an original Grade-2 listed Georgian home renovated in understated, luxurious style. A perfect bolt hole for two (or more - please see our other listing), we are well situated on the edge of the world-renowned heritage city of Bath, and with the Somerset countryside literally on our doorstep. We are also within easy distance of the charming town of Frome, the bright city lights of Bristol, and beyond. We look forward to welcoming you to our home! The property is accessed by the shared main entrance with the guest bedrooms located on the first floor, via the original feature staircase. We offer parking onsite. We are usually on hand for check-in/out and to help answer any queries during the visit regarding the accommodation, local neighbourhood, places to eat, tourist hotspots, shopping and general entertainment. Tunley is a charming village located just 10 minutes drive south of Bath. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, it is perfectly situated as a retreat after a busy day spent amongst the hustle and bustle of Bath's world renowned historic city. With two great gastro pubs and a farm shop and cafe within walking distance, we are well catered for. We are also perfectly located for guests of local wedding venues including Priston Mill and The Pig Outside Bath, as well as for visitors and staff of the Bath Spa University Newton Park Campus. Central Bath, with its great selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, is just a short drive away. Its ancient sites, stunning architecture and cultural hotspots providing lots of opportunities for happy meanderings, and a bit of fun imagining being a character from a novel by one of the city's famous past residents, Jane Austen. It's no wonder Bath has been chosen as the backdrop for filming the popular Netflix miniseries, 'Bridgerton'! If you're into indie shops and artisan markets, cute cafes, bars and restaurants, the historic town of Frome is wonderful. Only 15 minutes drive from Tunley, fans of another popular TV series, 'Poldark' will enjoy location-spotting in and around the town's pretty cobbled streets. Whether your interests are sightseeing, architecture, shopping, food and lifestyle, or you enjoy the peace and quiet of a rural setting and being amongst nature, walking, cycling and visiting country pubs, Tunley is the perfect place to access all this and more. There is a bus service to/from Bath's central station, with pick-up/drop off 1 minute walk from the front door. Alternatively, Odd Down Park and Ride operates all day and is only 10 minutes away by car. Bath Spa train station is 15 minutes by car with direct travel to/from London (90 minutes), Bristol (15 mins), Cardiff (60 minutes) and beyond. 40 mins by car to/from the M4 motorway, with easy commutes to the South West, the Midlands, Wales and beyond.
