2 Pines Cottage - A Little Maleny Magic

A lovely cottage located in a beautiful spot, the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Caters for one, two or even a small family. Your home away from home. Continental breakfast is included. Covid cleaned & no discrimination. Centrally located; a short walk to "Maleny Cheese" and a short drive to "Maleny Manor". Less than 10 mins scenic drive to the quaint mountain villages of Maleny, Montville and Landsborough. Aussie Zoo in 15 mins, Glasshouse Mountains or Sunshine Coast beach in 30 mins. The cottage caters for a single person, romantic couple preferring their privacy, a separately sharing couple or even a small family. Pre-covid, "2 Pines" was committed to providing a clean stay. Due to covid, now taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations with Dettol. Continue thorough cleaning with natural anti-bacterial, vinegar, Koh and Mr Mould products. The cottage provides you your own space, with the freedom to isolate in the back garden. A continental breakfast is provided including an assortment of teas/coffee, fresh local milk, a choice of juice, cereal, croissants, yoghurt/fruit, jams/honey, etc. Preference is to keep it natural and the artificial nasties down. Centrally located to all the Sunshine Coast hinterland has to offer, including walks, wineries, tourist attractions, villages, shopping, cafes and restaurants. For families up to 5 people, we include one sofa bed for a child/teenager/adult (up to 2 children sharing) and one cot for a baby/toddler. A thick, single, foam mattress for the floor can also be provided. Also available are some of the little guest essentials from a high chair through to toys and books. Just ask! Guests have exclusive use of the cottage with Queen bedroom and open plan living space, full modern kitchen, lounge and dining room. There is also a two-way shower ensuite, separate toilet and laundry. Outdoor areas include the veranda and the back garden. There is an off street car space provided within a short walk of the cottage. Follow a meandering stony pathway, from your car park, up a slight incline (Maleny is on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, which is a small mountain range) to the back of the property and main house, to access 2 Pines cottage (see picture if concerned). 2 Pines Cottage shares our 1 acre property, and we live in the main house out the front. There are 4 steps onto the landing and then one more step into the cottage. Once inside, the cottage is all on one level. There is a step into the shower. Check-in is now 3.00 as some people get upset if 2.00 is not met. Usually the space is ready by 2.00/2.30, but if previous guests leave a mess, something needs to be sorted, and with the additional covid cleaning, I cannot guarantee. Before your arrival we can discuss your arrival needs. Check-out is now 10.00 due to guest turnarounds and covid cleaning. However if there is not a tight turn-around of guests, 11.00 is fine or possibly a later check-out can be arranged. Our guests will be welcomed, but given their privacy once they've settled in. We are always happy to advise on holiday plans if requested, and we can be easily contacted in the front garden or by message if any issues or questions arise. There is just so much to enjoy on the Sunshine Coast hinterland with farm visits, quaint country villages, rainforest walks, mountain climbs, refreshing swimming holes, scenic drives, fabulous food and breathtaking views. The world famous Glass House Mountains and Australia Zoo are on our doorstep and arguably some of the best beaches in the world, found on the Sunshine Coast, are a short drive away (Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum and Noosa to name drop but a few!). There is a limited public bus service that takes people across the hinterland and also down to Landsborough and Nambour (which both have train and bus services). Most people have a car at their disposal. A cleaning charge has been added to allow "2 Pines" to be more cost effective for short stays and longer stays. After much playing on a spreadsheet, I believe the pricing is more fair when calculated down to the average per night charge across a stay. Hopefully you agree! :) Also I charge for infants. Airbnb does not. However it is my home and I know that as lovely as infants are, they are more for me to do than say a romantic couple. A romantic couple often eats out. A family with infants often eats in, require more beds made up, more linen, more showers, high chair, more cleaning (exploring finger prints), etc. I charge $15 / night per infant. If you are staying many nights and have more than one infant, I can combine to $15 / night. I love families staying and do my best to make their stay as easy for them to just go make enjoyable family memories. The cottage is located at the back of the main house. Our general rule is to keep out of the back garden when people are in the cottage. As a rule we do not go to the cottage when guests are booked in, unless greeting, dropping stuff off, or prearranged. Maleny isn't known for its TV reception (we have a booster), mobile reception (Telstra usually works from ours) or internet (we now have 'country' NBN...you can watch movies on it!). The cottage is clean, comfortable and fairly spacious. It is not the Ritz. If you want flash, I suggest booking elsewhere. This is affordable and safe, single, couple or family accommodation on the Sunshine Coast hinterland; providing cooking, entertainment (large TV, internet, Netflix/Stan and space), sleeping and laundry facilities.
