Idillic cottage located in the heart of a picturesque conservation village in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. Refurbished early 2021 the cottage offers a wonderful location to explore everything North Wales & Cheshire has to offer. Only a few minutes drive to the beach It is the perfect location for a memorable holiday. Often likened to the Cotswolds because of the honey-coloured stone, it’s tranquil with a pub (currently closed) and a village pond a minutes walk away. Limekiln Cottage is a stylish, homely 2 bedroom barn conversion in the heart of an award winning village. The cottage has been a very popular holiday destination for the last 15 years and has just undergone extensive renovation and new ownership. It benefits from a large living room with cosy fireplace – the perfect place to hunker down after a busy day exploring the beautiful region. There’s a very well stocked bookcase, games, puzzles and a 46 inch Smart TV including Netflix. The living room has large doors onto the patio. The open plan kitchen dining room is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, nespresso machine and microwave. There’s a welcome hamper on arrival and we also supply essentials including tea, coffee, sugar and dishwasher tablets. Upstairs there are two stylishly decorated bedrooms and both the king and two single beds have comfortable Emma memory foam mattresses. All bedding and towels are 100% cotton. The immaculate shower room has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and toilet rolls and a hairdryer located is in the double bedroom. Outside there is a patio with rattan dining table and sofa chairs, perfect for enjoying al fresco dining on sunny days or relaxing on star-lit nights. There is a small private garden and adjacent to the property, and visible from the kitchen window, is a pond with a waterfall. Amongst the water lilies and bulrushes you’re almost guaranteed to see frogs and newts (and often ducks visiting from the village pond!). The farmhouse has large gardens and a private wooded area which is a haven for wildlife with resident badgers. It is a natural habitat for wild birds, rabbits, and owls are regular visitors too. The property is located off a private road with it’s own driveway and parking for 3 cars. 10% linen discount available for all bookings choosing to bring their own bedlinen and towels - please message prior to booking if you wish to take advantage of this discount. The cottage is located adjacent to our home, the original farmhouse, but it is very much a separate property with its own patio, drive and garden. You can expect complete privacy during your stay but we are only a short distance away and are on hand if there’s anything at all you need. Llanasa is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is the perfect location to explore North Wales and Cheshire. Located only a few minutes from the outstanding Talacre beach, an RSPB recommended watch area, it’s only a short drive to Prestatyn which boasts a vibrant High Street of independent retailers including a cheesemonger, deli, antique shop and cafes. The area is highly noted for wildlife and animal enthusiasts. Nearby attractions include St Asaph Cathedral, Bodelwyddan Castle, Dyserth Waterfalls and Offa’s Dyke path. The region is teeming with places to see and things to do. Visit the Tweedmill factory outlet or Afonwen Craft & Antique centre, brave Europe’s longest ziplines at Zipworld, have fun in the seaside resorts along the coast, surf the waves at Adventure Parc Snowdonia, enjoy the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park and explore Caernarfon and Anglesey. There’s so much here you’ll wish you were staying for longer!
