Le Gîte Tournesol: charming house in Charente

A beautiful stone house with open plan kitchen living room, bathroom with shower and 2 bedrooms accommodating up to 6/7 people. The gîte has everything you need to relax and enjoy! Ideal for a family trip or a gathering with friends :) There are two double beds and two single beds across two spacious bedrooms. There is also a comfy double sofa bed available and a cot if needed. There is a cute private garden at the back and the shared pool at the front. During your stay you will have access to the pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. Chalais is about a 10-15min walk from Le Manoir Gabard. There is parking on site. We are Leonie and Jacques, the owners of Le Manoir Gabard and we live on the property. We will make sure you have everything needed to make your stay as comfortable as can be! Don't hesitate to knock on our door for any questions or knowledge of the local area. We speak French, English and German. Le Manoir Gabard is situated in the outskirts of the market town of Chalais, in the beautiful rolling hills of Charente. A short distance from Aubeterre, Saint-Émilion, Cognac, with Bordeaux and the beaches of the Atlantic coast easy access. Visit the Château de Chalais, the seat of the Talleyrand-Perigord family, only a 10 minute walk away. It is usually easier to get around with a car although Chalais is only a 10 minute walk away! We can arrange to hire bikes for you from the local hire shop. On-site parking is available. We can offer continental breakfast on our terrace or delivered at an agreed time for 10€/day, per person. We also offer 'table d'hôtes' evening meals and can provide you with fresh organic produce from our veggie garden.
