You’ll find the small alpine town Camedo where the Insubric line, the border line and the train line all meet up. There we live in our 100+ year old stone house. Your airbnb Studio is on the groundfloor with its own entrance, adjoining bathroom, and outside a small garden terrace with relaxing view over mountains and valley. We are easily reached by car and the trainstation is about 7 minutes walking distance. From streetlevel take the ten wide stone steps up to the old wooden door of the Studio. There you’ll find a double bed (1.8m x 2m), kitchenette (incl. coffee machine), fridge, music system, bathroom and small solar anteroom. 🛏 Outside put your feet up and relax in the garden terrace on your sofa with extra deck chairs, sun-umbrella, and grill. We are usually around, so don’t hesitate to ring the bell (a big one) and let us know if you need anything. ♥ Camedo is perfect for nature outings. From our house to the woods it is a short hop (ca. 50m) and the river with swimming pools is a 10 min walk through the forest. Also check to see if the restaurant in Camedo is (Email hidden by Airbnb) While normally you only hear the sounds of the train and the birds, around midsummer things do get more lively festa-wise ☯ Camedo is right in the middle of the valley lengthwise, so from here you can explore both the Swiss and Italian sides. Close by we have an abundance of walking trails and 4 different mountain cable car lifts. Locarno, the closest big city, is 25 curvy minutes by car on the Swiss side and Domodossola is 35 min. away on the Italian side. There are frequent trains in the day on both Swiss and Italian sides, but in the evening they become more scarce. Visit sbb.ch and vige (Website hidden by Airbnb) for more info. When it gets cold in spring and autumn there is an electric heater and warm blanket at your disposal.
