Luxurious Couples Retreat Tweed Hinterland (NSW)

This beautiful property offers the best of both worlds for couples. It is situated just outside Tweed Heads, in the Tweed Valley, surrounded by lush green fields and grazing cows, yet is only minutes away from popular beaches and shopping areas. The views are spectacular. Everyone who sees them, simply goes “Wow!” When staying here, you will enjoy the breezy, tropical feel of a hot summer's day splashing in the pool or, in the cooler months, the mesmerising warmth of your very own fire-pit. From your bedroom, you will wake up to the stunning view. You will hear the trill of many varieties of birds and you may spot the occasional wallaby. If you’re lucky, you will witness the majestic soaring of our local wedge-tail eagle. The apartment comprises a suite of rooms on the ground floor of the house. We live upstairs, so there is a shared front door and foyer. However, the rooms you occupy can all be closed off, ensuring your privacy. If you choose not to enter via the front door, you can enter privately, via the pool area. The space you have to yourself is spacious and luxurious. There is a large bedroom with queen bed and double built-in robe. Your private bathroom is opposite. You have your own living room to enjoy, containing a modern and very comfortable lounge suite and smart TV, with Netflix access. Included in this space is the kitchenette, with a fridge, microwave and stove top, in addition to crockery and cutlery. In the fridge are the ingredients for a continental breakfast if you do not choose to eat out. Of course, tea and coffee making facilities are freely available. The living area leads out on to your enormous private verandah, with dining table and occasional chairs and also a pool table, should you wish to challenge your partner to a game! The verandah gives access to the property’s sparkling infinity pool, of which you will enjoy sole occupancy. The pool area has several lounge recliners set out for your relaxation. YOUR HOSTS Apart from my partner Peter and myself, the other resident here is Joey, our adorable Cocker Spaniel. She may bark when you arrive, but will then shower you with affection and express her need for a pat. She will love you from afar and stay out of your way, unless of course you choose otherwise! You will have private access to the entire downstairs area-pool, huge verandah, living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Our goal is to make this an exemplary stay for you. You can be as private as you wish to be but we are contactable by phone 24/7 , and just upstairs most of the time, should you need anything. Please note that if you are planning a longer stay, the apartment has no washing machine, although there is an excellent Laundromat in Tweed Heads, just 15 minutes away. When booking, if you have any special requests, we will do all that we can to accommodate you. Also, as much as we absolutely LOVE dogs, this is not a space for them. Please do not ask for an exception. We know you will love this place as much as we do. We really look forward to meeting you! PLACES TO SEE The location is the ideal hub to explore nearby regional towns such as Murwillumbah, Pottsville and Kingscliff and of course a little further on, Byron Bay- 50 minutes away. You can discover the life and works of Margaret Olley and other artists at the Tweed Regional Gallery, enjoy the ultimate farm-to-table experience at Farm & Co, or sample some amazing gourmet cheeses at Tweed Valley Cheeses. Husk Distillers may tempt you with Gin and Rum cocktails or, if you’re a beachcomber/surfer, it only takes 15 minutes to reach Kirra, Coolangatta or beautiful Rainbow Bay. Should you be flying from interstate, Cobaki is a 15 minute drive from Coolangatta Airport. The tourist attractions of Dreamworld, Seaworld and Movieworld are 40 minutes away. If you’re a golfer, the Gold Coast boasts many top Golf Courses such as Coolangatta and Tweed Heads. Top Golf, the very trendy and popular Driving Range, is also 40 minutes from our front door. You will need a car to get here and to get around. You can park right outside the front door, in the visitor car park area. Please take note that your Hosts live on the premises upstairs. We won't be there always during the day but mostly at night. We will not disturb your privacy in any way, but because of the design of the house, you may hear us a little and you may hear Joey running around.
